{"id":5086,"date":"2026-06-08T17:03:41","date_gmt":"2026-06-08T17:03:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/why-princesses-eugenie-beatrice-arent-in-the-clear-with-the-royal-family-despite-attending-cousins-wedding\/"},"modified":"2026-06-08T17:03:41","modified_gmt":"2026-06-08T17:03:41","slug":"why-princesses-eugenie-beatrice-arent-in-the-clear-with-the-royal-family-despite-attending-cousins-wedding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/why-princesses-eugenie-beatrice-arent-in-the-clear-with-the-royal-family-despite-attending-cousins-wedding\/","title":{"rendered":"Why Princesses Eugenie, Beatrice aren&#8217;t in the clear with the royal family despite attending cousin&#8217;s wedding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/wp-content%2Fuploads%2Fsites%2F3%2F2026%2F06%2F130238827.jpg?quality%3D90%26strip%3Dall\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Despite <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/06\/06\/royal-family\/princess-beatrice-and-princess-eugenie-reunite-with-royal-family-at-cousin-peter-phillips-wedding\/\">attending their cousin\u2019s wedding<\/a> with royal family members this weekend, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice aren\u2019t quite back in the royal fold after their dad, former Prince Andrew, <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/02\/19\/celebrity-news\/ex-prince-andrew-arrested-following-epstein-files-revelations\/\">was arrested<\/a> for his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t think you can read too much into the fact that they\u2019re attending a family wedding, but it is also them coming in from the cold to an extent,\u201d Nash said. \u201cBecause we\u2019ve not seen them publicly for a very long time together and, with the wider family and of course, without their parents.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Royal expert Emily Nash told Page Six that Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie\u2019s attendance at their cousin\u2019s wedding this weekend doesn\u2019t mean they\u2019re back in the fold. But there are very distinct lines as well,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>There is also a question of whether Eugenie and Beatrice\u2019s titles are in the clear as the investigation over Andrew\u2019s alleged sex crimes continues. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cI don\u2019t think you can read too much into the fact that they\u2019re attending a family wedding, but it is also them coming in from the cold to an extent,\u201d Nash said of Beatrice and Eugenie (seen here at the wedding).  <span class=\"credit\">Samir Hussein\/WireImage<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Nash questioned whether the sisters (seen here at the wedding) are still in danger of losing their titles.  <span class=\"credit\">BACKGRID<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cCertainly they are still members of the family, and there\u2019s obviously a lot of concern and affection for them within the family,\u201d Nash said. \u201cBut, you know, the question remains: what becomes, in the long term, of their titles?\u201d <\/p>\n<p>As for whether they are in danger of losing their titles, Nash said, \u201cI think it\u2019s way too soon to say.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Nash believes the scandal has been \u201cincredibly difficult\u201d for Beatrice and Eugenie, as well as for \u201cthe wider royal family.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wonder if, in hindsight, Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice ever think how things might be different for them had they not been given titles,\u201d Nash said, referring to how Phillips does not have a title but gets all the benefits of being Princess Anne\u2019s son. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The newlyweds (seen at their wedding) tied the knot in the UK this weekend.  <span class=\"credit\">BACKGRID<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>King Charles III and Queen Camilla were among the British royals in attendance. Magazine editor explained that, for now, the princesses should enjoy the fact that they have not been ousted like their dad and mom, Sarah Ferguson. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cUntil we know the full extent of what has happened and what their father is accused of and the legal proceedings have come to a conclusion, then I think this is probably the best we can hope for, for them to still be included in family events,\u201d Nash said.<\/p>\n<p>She also added that it is hopefully an \u201cuplifting moment\u201d that Eugenie, 36, and Beatrice, 37, could get together with family at the wedding during \u201ca really difficult period.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>While Eugenie and Beatrice made the cut amid their father\u2019s unfolding scandal,<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/06\/02\/royal-family\/why-prince-harry-was-snubbed-from-cousins-wedding-despite-prince-william-being-invited\/\"> their cousin Prince Harry was left off the guest list.<\/a><\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Former Prince Andrew was arrested for his ties to Jeffrey Epstein in February.  <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Andrew (seen here with his daughters in 2006) was stripped of his title last year.  <span class=\"credit\">WireImage<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cWhat we were told was that Peter hadn\u2019t spoken to Harry for the last few years. And so it sort of has been a natural cooling off and he wasn\u2019t invited as a result,\u201d Nash divulged.<\/p>\n<p>Royals who did make an appearance at the nuptials this past Saturday included King Charles III and Queen Camilla, Prince William and Kate Middleton, Prince Edward and Sophie, as well as the Mother of the Groom, Princess Anne, and her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, and Phillips\u2019 sister, Zara Tindall, and her husband, Mike Tindall.<\/p>\n<p>Andrew \u2014 who <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/10\/30\/royal-family\/prince-andrew-stripped-of-prince-title-forced-to-move-out-of-royal-home-following-epstein-scandals\/\">was stripped of his royal title<\/a> in 2025 \u2014 was arrested on his 66th birthday on Feb. 19 on suspicion of misconduct in public office for allegedly forwarding confidential trade documents to Epstein.
