However, the former basketball star refused to apologize and even <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/06\/10\/entertainment\/charles-barkley-dares-espn-to-fire-him-over-obscene-cardi-b-comments-at-nba-finals\/\">dared ESPN to fire him<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI got six or seven years left on my contract that they know I\u2019ve got no chance of doing,\u201d he said on the \u201cDan Patrick Show.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would love for them to fire me and have to pay me for the next six or seven years,\u201d the former Philadelphia 76ers player said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople can\u2019t take a joke? They can kiss my ass.
