Tree<\/a> plunges to the ground.<\/p>\n<p>In<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/06\/15\/world-news\/video-shows-helicopter-in-crash-that-killed-oliver-tree-plunging-to-ground\/\"> surveillance footage <\/a>released by Rio de Janeiro\u2019s Military Fire Department, the aircraft can be seen spinning out of control and falling into a car dealership\u2019s parking lot in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil,\u00a0before causing a massive fire that engulfed more than 20 cars.<\/p>\n<p>Witness Fernandes de Freitas claimed one person could be seen jumping from one of the helicopters before they both crashed, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/world\/brazil\/rio-de-janeiro-helicopter-crash-rcna350022\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NBC News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure tire-repair workman said.<\/p>\n<p>The cause of the crash has not been confirmed and officials are investigating the collision.<\/p>\n<p>Six people were killed when two helicopters collided in the air early Sunday morning while flying over an electric vehicle yard in Recreio dos Bandeirantes, in the Southwest zone of Rio de Janeiro.<\/p>\n<p>At least 20 cars were set on fire from the collision after being hit at the crash site, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnnbrasil.com.br\/nacional\/sudeste\/rj\/cantor-oliver-tree-e-um-dos-mortos-em-acidente-aereo-no-rio-veja-vitimas\/#goog_rewarded\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNN reported<\/a>. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>A witness claimed one person jumped from one href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/06\/14\/celebrity-news\/singer-oliver-tree-dead-at-32-following-tragic-helicopter-crash\/\">32-year-old Tree,<\/a> Argentinian influencer Gaspar Prim, passengers Lucas Vignale and Lucas Brito Chaves and pilot Alexandre Souza.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Sixty-year-old pilot Charles Marsillac was the only person on the other helicopter, an Airbus H125.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the police, the local Fire Department, CET (Traffic Engineering Company), Comlurb and teams from 31st BPM (Recreio dos Bandeirantes) worked to isolate the area after the crash.<\/p>\n<figure href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/06\/15\/celebrity-news\/oliver-tree-insisted-family-wouldnt-get-a-penny-when-he-dies-before-helicopter-crash\/\">The late singer<\/a> \u2014 who was born in Santa Cruz, California \u2014 rose to fame in 2010 at 17 years old and has worked with big names like Skrillex and Zeds Dead under the moniker \u201cTree.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He put out his latest tribute <\/a>to him after he was killed in the helicopter crash, admitting that she\u2019s \u201cbeen an absolute wreck.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s really hard to understand how someone who you once shared such a specific and formative time of your life with can all of a sudden be gone,\u201d she wrote on Instagram. <\/p>\n<p>Martinez also said Tree had a \u201ccontagious and warm\u201d laugh and was always \u201cdedicated\u201d to his art, which she \u201cadmired and respected so deeply.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><a
