What do I say?\u2019 And then all of a sudden I find myself with a f\u2013king bodyguard at the airport and I\u2019m like, \u2018This is crazy.\u2019\u201d she concluded.<\/p>\n<p>Kirk died after\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/09\/10\/us-news\/charlie-kirk-possibly-targeted-in-shooting-at-utah-valley-university-event-during-his-american-comeback-tour\/\">he was shot while on stage<\/a>\u00a0at Utah Valley University during a stop on his American Comeback Tour. He was 31.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cI\u2019m allowed to f\u2013king voice my feelings,\u201d Seyfried told GQ.  <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cI want my kids to be able to feel safe to voice their opinions as long as they\u2019re not harmful,\u201d she added.  <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>He and his wife, Erika Kirk, shared two children \u2014 a daughter who will be turning 4 in August and a 2-year-old son.<\/p>\n<p>Like the Kirks, Seyfried shares two children with husband Thomas Sadoski \u2014 daughter Nina, 9, and son Thomas, 5.<\/p>\n<p>After her initial comment about Kirk following his death, Seyfried <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/09\/17\/celebrity-news\/amanda-seyfried-defends-charlie-kirk-criticism-following-backlash\/\">defended her statement<\/a> by writing on Instagram, \u201cWe\u2019re forgetting the nuance of humanity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can get angry about misogyny and racist rhetoric and ALSO very much agree that Charlie Kirk\u2019s murder was absolutely disturbing and deplorable in every way imaginable,\u201d she continued. \u201cNo one should have to experience this level of violence.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The actress tried a more measured response on social media (seen above) after the initial backlash, but still faced scrutiny. \u201cAll of a sudden I find myself with a f\u2013king bodyguard at the airport and I\u2019m like, \u2018This is crazy,&#8217;\u201d she told British GQ. <span class=\"credit\">Instagram\/@mingey<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Kirk died at 31 after he was shot at Utah Valley University during a stop on his American Comeback Tour in September 2025. Can we agree on that at least?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Academy Award-nominated actress also <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/12\/10\/celebrity-news\/amanda-seyfried-refuses-to-apologize-for-calling-charlie-kirk-hateful\/\">refused to apologize<\/a> for the social media comments in a December 2025 interview with Who What Wear.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI mean, for f\u2013ks sake, I commented on one thing.
