Couldn\u2019t he?\u201d O\u2019Hara \u2014 who conducted her interview before her death earlier this year \u2014 says in the teaser.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Catherine O\u2019Hara will make a posthumous appearance in Martin Short\u2019s forthcoming Netflix documentary, \u201cMarty, Life is Short,\u201d as pictured above. <span class=\"credit\">Courtesy of Netflix<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>O\u2019Hara\u2019s appearance was revealed after she made a brief cameo in the film\u2019s trailer (pictured above), which was released Friday.  <span class=\"credit\">Courtesy of Netflix<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>A second clip included in the trailer showed Short playfully filming O\u2019Hara, telling her \u201cI loved you in \u2018Home Alone!\u2019 You were wonderful!\u201d while she laughs at his compliment.<\/p>\n<p>Directed by Short\u2019s longtime friend Lawrence Kasdan, the film uses \u201cbeautiful, intimate, never-before-seen\u201d archival footage to chronicle the comedian\u2019s life and career as well as his relationship with grief. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cMarty, Life is Short\u201d will premiere May 12 on the streaming platform. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cI feel like he could improvise to eternity. Though, rectal cancer was noted as the underlying cause. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>O\u2019Hara (pictured right posing alongside Short in Oct. 2012) died at age 71 on Jan. 30 following a brief illness.   <span class=\"credit\">Toronto Star via Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cMarty, Life is Short\u201d will premiere May 12 on Netflix.  <span class=\"credit\">Courtesy of Netflix<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>O\u2019Hara was cremated, per her death certificate, with husband Bo Welch receiving her remains.<\/p>\n<p>The actress was laid to rest in an intimate funeral service held at St. Martin of Tours Church in Los Angeles on Saturday, Feb. 14. <\/p>\n<p>Actress Kelly Lynch shared a snapshot of the late star\u2019s funeral booklet with her Instagram followers as she honored O\u2019Hara\u2019s life with a touching tribute. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cRest in peace darling Catherine,\u201d Lynch captioned her post. \u201cAnd did you get what you wanted from this life, even so? I did. And what did you want?
