Sarah gets nothing kel gets everything. He passed in his sleep of natural causes,\u201d they wrote, adding that \u201cmost people know Nicky for his work as an actor and for the characters he brought to life over the years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The statement noted that Brendon was \u201cpassionate, sensitive, and endlessly driven to create.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While mentioning the 90s star\u2019s past troubles, the family expressed that Brendon \u201cwas on medications and treatment to manage his diagnosis and he was optimistic about the future at the time of his passing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In 2022, Brendon revealed he suffered a heart attack and was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Brendon (pictured here on set of the beloved vampire series) died on March 20 due to atherosclerotic and hypertensive cardiovascular disease. <span class=\"credit\">WireImage<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Prior to his passing, the star (pictured here in a 2017 mug shot) was engrossed in legal issues.
