I feel like I\u2019ve said, not all that I\u2019ve wanted to say, but all that was needed to say,\u201d she exclusively told Page Six\u2019s \u201cVirtual Reali-Tea.\u201d <span class=\"credit\">Page Six<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s still always going to be opinions and comments, that\u2019s just kind of the name of the game. Control what you can control. That\u2019s where I\u2019m kind of at right now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last month, the co-stars got into a nasty feud on Instagram.<\/p>\n<p>It all started when Matthews posted a message on her Instagram Story about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrity-news\/news\/mormon-wives-mikayla-and-taylor-argue-over-friendship-status\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">setting \u201chealthy boundaries\u201d in her friendships<\/a>, and that she was trying to stay \u201cas removed as possible\u201d from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/04\/30\/celebrity-news\/judge-criticizes-taylor-frankie-paul-dakota-mortensen-in-protective-order-ruling\/\">Paul\u2019s legal issues with ex Dakota Mortensen.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Matthews\u2019 argument was that it\u2019s not her \u201cjob to enable poor or dangerous behavior from either party.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She also said she was there for Paul while she hit \u201crock bottom,\u201d despite her dealing with her own trauma and health issues.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The \u201cSecret Lives of Mormon Wives\u201d star doubled down on the social media comments she made about her co-star (pictured second from the right). <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images for SiriusXM<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cControl what you can control. That\u2019s where I\u2019m kind of at right now,\u201d she said. <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images for SiriusXM<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>But the next day, Paul \u2014 without naming names \u2014 wrote in a lengthy post: \u201cI have STILL have \u2018friends\u2019 kicking me while I\u2019m already down and calling it \u2018setting a boundary\u2019 and then BLAMES ME for being upset and responding. That\u2019s called shaming and attack while I had a moment to breathe and she knew that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat a snake friend just did to me in the public eye after everything she just witnessed\u2026the lack of empathy and silence was loud enough,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n<p>She then specifically called out Matthews for writing that she didn\u2019t want to pick sides between Paul and Mortensen and claimed that her friend didn\u2019t ever hear her side and ignored her.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYour trauma doesn\u2019t give you a pass to kick me while down and cover it with \u2018a boundary\u2019 months later after the fact\u2026 she is right to state her \u201cboundary\u201d sure \u2026but go ahead tell them the truth,\u201d Paul wrote.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Their feud started last month when Matthews posted a message on her Instagram Story about trying to stay \u201cas removed as possible\u201d from\u00a0Paul\u2019s legal issues with ex Dakota Mortensen. <span class=\"credit\">Instagram\/@mikayla__matt<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Her argument was that it\u2019s not her \u201cjob to enable poor or dangerous behavior from either party.\u201d <span class=\"credit\">Instagram\/@mikayla__matt<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Matthews then <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/12\/entertainment\/secret-lives-of-mormon-wives-star-mikayla-matthews-escalates-frustrating-taylor-frankie-paul-feud\/\">escalated the feud <\/a>in the comments section of a fan post discussing the drama via Instagram Reels.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCould probably write a book on everything I\u2019ve had to say on this. Nothing I said denied that she\u2019s experienced pain, trauma, or difficult things, there\u2019s literally no question about that,\u201d the reality TV star\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reels\/DYLKGx7uus8\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wrote at the time<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTwo things can be true. Someone can be hurting and still hurt people around them in the process. My statement was never about wanting [Taylor] to fail, suffer, or be canceled,\u201d she continued. \u201cIt was about no longer wanting to publicly participate in or normalize a cycle that was affecting everyone around it, especially where children and repeated violence were involved.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Matthews also doubled down on her initial statement about Paul\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/03\/19\/celebrity-news\/taylor-frankie-paul-attacks-dakota-mortensen-with-chair-in-front-of-daughter-video\/\">several domestic violence incidents<\/a>, in which she said she couldn\u2019t support her co-star\u2019s self-destructive patterns.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The next day, Paul accused Matthews of \u201cshaming and attack[ing]\u201d her and claimed that her friend didn\u2019t ever hear her side and ignored her. <span class=\"credit\">Paige Kahn for Page Six<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cYour trauma doesn\u2019t give you a pass to kick me while down and cover it with \u2018a boundary,&#8217;\u201d she wrote in a lengthy Instagram post. <span class=\"credit\">Taylor Frankie Paul \/ Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>However, in an Instagram Story posted days later, Matthews admitted she \u201cdefinitely got out of hand commenting,\u201d but continued to defend herself.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can\u2019t stress enough that this is not about \u2018sides\u2019 or \u2018teams.\u2019 I genuinely want to see everyone healed and happy, including myself,\u201d Matthews explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt the same time, I\u2019m not going to quietly accept loud disrespect, manipulation or fear tactics used to intimidate any woman who set boundaries or chooses not to support destructive behavior.
