Many people know her as a talented childhood actor from \u2018Lilo &amp; Stitch,\u2019 \u2018Spirited Away,\u2019 and \u2018Donnie Darko.\u2019 But behind the scenes, she\u2019s faced more than her share of hardship,\u201d Hernandez shared in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gofundme.com\/f\/help-daveigh-chase-find-comfort-peace?attribution_id=9ca22526-58c3-41d9-80f6-f0bf4dd001fe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the online campaign<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter a difficult childhood and a painful falling out with her family, Daveigh was bullied and struggled to find safety and happiness in downtown LA. When we met, I promised to protect her and give her the love and comfort she deserved. All she ever wanted was a place where we could live together, feel safe, and be happy. Now, more than ever, I want to give her that sense of home and peace in her final days,\u201d he added. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI understand we all go through things, but if you can help, I will be really grateful for anything. And if you can only give a prayer, I will take that too.
