{"id":6102,"date":"2026-06-19T09:59:20","date_gmt":"2026-06-19T09:59:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/will-king-charles-meet-with-meghan-markle-during-uk-visit\/"},"modified":"2026-06-19T09:59:20","modified_gmt":"2026-06-19T09:59:20","slug":"will-king-charles-meet-with-meghan-markle-during-uk-visit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/will-king-charles-meet-with-meghan-markle-during-uk-visit\/","title":{"rendered":"Will King Charles meet with Meghan Markle during UK visit?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/wp-content%2Fuploads%2Fsites%2F3%2F2026%2F06%2Fnewspress-collage-yxl3f0ksv-1781819920692.jpg?quality%3D90%26strip%3Dall%261781805548\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>As Prince Harry reportedly prepares to bring his family back to his homeland, in part to see his father, one big question swirls: Will Meghan Markle meet up with the royals <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2021\/03\/08\/meghan-markle-dishes-to-oprah-about-royal-pains-of-monarchy\/\">she has publicly scorned?<\/a><\/p>\n<p>However, any meet-up will certainly be kept under wraps, with no photographers.<\/p>\n<p>As we reported, <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/06\/17\/royal-family\/meghan-markle-prince-harry-are-bringing-lilibet-archie-to-uk-for-first-time-in-years\/\">Prince Harry is getting his wish <\/a>of bringing Markle and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, back to the UK next month for the first time in four years.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Prince Harry will finally bring his wife Meghan Markle and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to the UK for the first time in four years. <span class=\"credit\">meghan\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Sussexes are traveling from California for a week of \u201cYear to Go\u201d events in anticipation of the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham. Their security is believed to have been upgraded after <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/06\/08\/royal-family\/prince-harry-hopes-to-bring-meghan-markle-kids-to-uk-in-weeks\/\">Harry\u2019s fierce row with the British government<\/a> over his bid to have armed police protect him in the UK.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Sources on both sides say there is no doubt Charles, 77, is eager to spend time with his grandchildren, having only seen Archie, 7, in person a handful of times and Lilibet, 5, just once.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am sure he will see the children,\u201d said Hugo Vickers, royal biographer and friend of the family. \u201cThe king has always left the door wide open, and he did see Harry last September.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a good idea that Harry should reconcile privately with his father, for both their sakes. The king made it clear that he didn\u2019t want his last years to be miserable, and Harry is burdened with enough trauma that, if Charles died without them making peace, that would just cause him even more problems,\u201d Vickers added. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Charles, who walked Markle down the aisle for her marriage to Prince Harry, would not shun her now, said royal writer Hugo Vickers. <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThis is a good thing for both sides.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Charles has been open about <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/12\/12\/royal-family\/king-charles-gives-emotional-update-on-cancer-battle\/\">his cancer battle<\/a>, prompting Harry, who believed his father could override the government on the security battle, to tell<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/articles\/c8074n5z597o\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-nyp-affiliate=\"true\"> the BBC<\/a> in May 2025, \u201cI would love reconciliation with\u00a0my\u00a0family. Life is precious. I don\u2019t know how much longer\u00a0my father has, he won\u2019t speak to me because of this security stuff. It would be nice to reconcile.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Charles has a close relationship with Prince William and Kate Middleton\u2019s children, Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8, as evidenced when they joined him on the balcony at Buckingham Palace this past weekend for the <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/06\/13\/royal-family\/kate-middleton-prince-william-join-king-charles-for-trooping-the-colour\/\">Trooping the Colour ceremony.<\/a><\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Princess Lilibet was born in California and has only been to the UK once, when she was a baby. <span class=\"credit\">Meghan, Duchess of Sussex \/ Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Although Markle, 44, has railed against the royal family and claimed she suffered abuse and <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2023\/04\/21\/meghan-markle-wrote-king-charles-a-letter-about-royal-familys-racism\/\">racism <\/a>while living within palace walls, going as far as to detail how <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2021\/03\/07\/meghan-markle-says-she-had-suicidal-thoughts\/\">she suffered suicidal thoughts<\/a>, Vickers said Charles is eternally \u201cdiplomatic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Despite the drama of the past few years, Vickers said, \u201cIt would only make matters worse if the king refused to see her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve learned that Charles still plans to make his annual pilgrimage to Edinburgh, Scotland, for a tradition known as Holyrood Week, which traditionally takes place every year from late June to early July.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Markle and Harry took their kids to Disneyland last month. <span class=\"credit\">Meghan\/ Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The king stays at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the monarch\u2019s official Scottish residence \u2014 and never changes his schedule as \u201che\u2019s a busy man,\u201d said Vickers.<\/p>\n<p>But the timing means he should be available to meet Harry and his family, as the Invictus event is slated for July 10-17.<\/p>\n<p>Another palace source, however, fears that Charles will be dragged along into the Sussex spotlight and the chaos that follows them, saying: \u201cHarry and Meghan will frame it as the royal family need them, and Charles needs them.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Harry and William, seen alongside Meghan Markle and King Charles at the 2019 Commonwealth Day Service in London, have not spoken in years. <span class=\"credit\">POOL\/AFP via Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The last time the Sussexes were all together in the UK was for the late Queen Elizabeth II\u2019s Platinum Jubilee in July 2022, just two months before she died.
