But, another source, who is tight with Sweeney and her family, is skeptical of Braun.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s calling the shots. He\u2019s in charge,\u201d the source said. \u201cThis is not who she is. She normally keeps her private life private.\u201d<\/p>\nThe couple stepped out in NYC recently. BACKGRID<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nThe source added, \u201cHer career is clearly something she\u2019s worked very hard for. She\u2019s this up-and-coming, beautiful successful young woman.\u201d<\/p>\n
But, a friend of Sweeney\u2019s said Braun has been genuinely helpful, offering the actress guidance on career decisions, saying she \u201cneeds him to get to the next level.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
A separate source claimed Sweeney has the same team she\u2019s long had in place and is \u201cvery independent.\u201d<\/p>\n

Whatever the case, Sweeney\u2019s career is a busy one. It was recently announced that there won\u2019t be a fourth season of \u201cEuphoria,\u201d freeing her up to pursue more adult roles that could get her on the Oscars-track, the source close to Sweeney and Braun said.\u00a0<\/p>\nThe actress will flex her producer and eventual director muscles with her new production company Honey Trap, Deadline reported earlier this month. Sweeney just announced her new production company, Honey Trap, which will have a first-look deal at Sony Pictures. She has a good relationship with Sony, which distributed, \u201cAnyone But You,\u201d the rom-com hit she starred in with Glen Powell.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She\u2019s also set to produce \u201cThe Registration,\u201d based on the Madison Lawson thriller, for Sony.\u00a0<\/p>\nSweeney played Cassie on \u201cEuphoria\u201d for 3 seasons. HBO MAX<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nAlso on the horizon is \u201cWhat to Expect,\u201d a period drama following a Midwestern girl climbing the ranks of New York\u2019s high society circuit; an adaptation of \u201cHollow,\u201d a reimagining of \u201cThe Legend of Sleepy Hollow\u201d; and the psychological thriller \u201cI Pretended To Be A Missing Girl,\u201d which is in development at Warner Brothers.\u00a0<\/p>\n
She recently finished filming \u201cCustom of the Country,\u201d based on an Edith Wharton novel, and has been shooting \u201cGundam\u201d in Australia. Her first foray into sci-fi, it\u2019s a live action adaption of a Japanese anime franchise for Netflix and Legendary Pictures. Sweeney, is both producing and starring, alongside Noah Centineo.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, \u201cThe Housemaid\u2019s Secret,\u201d the follow-up to her 2025 sleeper hit, \u201cThe Housemaid,\u201d will hit theaters next year.\u00a0<\/p>\n\u201cHe\u2019s someone in her corner \u2014someone she can ask for advice or support,\u201d a source close to the couple told Page Six of Braun playing a supporting role to Sweeney. GC Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nShe was also set to to play Kim Novak in Colman Domingo\u2019s directorial debut, \u201cScandalous!\u201d, about Novak\u2019s relationship with Sammy Davis Jr., but the product has been stalled and Novak has expressed concerns about Sweeney\u2019s casting.\u00a0<\/p>\n
But, no matter.\u00a0<\/p>\n
