reunion with his father, King Charles III, is unlikely to help repair his <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/09\/royal-family\/why-prince-harrys-relationship-with-william-was-doomed\/\">fractured relationship with Prince William<\/a>, according to multiple royal experts.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cOff With Their Headlines\u201d podcast co-host explained that the relationship between the Duke of Sussex and William is the \u201cmost strained\u201d out of all the family dynamics involved. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Prince Harry and Prince William (above) aren\u2019t expected to make amends class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>\u201cWilliam is also seeking to project strength and leadership these days, which often results in press briefings that he has opposed the king\u2019s handling of emotionally charged issues like Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and now, Harry\u2019s potential return,\u201d Matta pointed out.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI certainly wouldn\u2019t expect anything to happen on this visit,\u201d Nash said, adding, \u201cI mean, you never know.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf it was part of a wider family gathering, it\u2019s possible they could be at the same place at the same time,\u201d she continued. \u201cBut, you know, given the very fractious nature of the relationship between William and Harry, I don\u2019t see them rushing to spend time together just because Harry\u2019s back in the UK.\u201d <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cI think it is almost impossible to draw any conclusions about a reconciliation between Harry and William at this stage,\u201d royal commentator Amanda Matta said about the brothers (seen above in 2017). Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>As for whether Charles would play a role in William and Harry making amends, Nash believes the reigning monarch is staying out of it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think he probably is just focused on his own moment of spending time with the son he\u2019s not seen for a long time,\u201d Nash said of Charles, adding, \u201cEspecially potentially meeting his grandchildren\u2026 I\u2019m sure that\u2019s probably his primary focus right now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In order for the brothers to bury the hatchet, Matta believes William needs to approach the situation \u201cpragmatically rather than emotionally.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSort of the opposite of King Charles\u2019 approach,\u201d she said. \u201cWilliam has been the holdout for years, viewing Harry\u2019s betrayal as unforgivable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>If there were to be a private meeting between William and Harry, this would be a clear signal that \u201clines of communication are being reopened,\u201d Matta said. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Charles is expected to see Harry and Markle\u2019s kids, Prince Archie expect a reconciliation to happen soon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese things have to happen step by step,\u201d Nash said. \u201cWhen things have been as difficult and as estranged as they have been in that family, I wouldn\u2019t expect things to change overnight.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Our source previously told us that Harry \u201cdesperately wants\u201d\u00a0his kids to meet their grandfather.<\/p>\n<p>Days later, sources told the US Sun that Charles<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/06\/19\/royal-family\/king-charles-offers-prince-harry-and-meghan-markle-an-olive-branch-ahead-of-uk-visit-report\/\"> extended an olive branch <\/a>to Harry and Markle by inviting them to stay at a royal residence during their visit to the UK next month.
