So if the waiters and bartenders in the Gallagher\u2019s sequence look straight out of central casting, that\u2019s because they\u2019re the real waiters and bartenders of Gallagher\u2019s.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Recently before the eatery opened, Rogen, who plays studio head honcho Matt Remick, and Ike Barinholtz, as VP Sal Saperstein, filmed a moment sitting at the 99-year-old Manhattan institution\u2019s central bar.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>The duo discuss the death of Catherine O\u2019Hara\u2019s character Patty, the producer modeled after Sony Pictures\u2019 Amy Pascal.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Seth Rogen and Ike Barinholtz\u2019s characters are said to discuss the death of Patty, who was played by the late Catherine O\u2019Hara. <span class=\"credit\">\u00a9Apple TV\/Courtesy Everett Collection<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>O\u2019Hara <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/01\/30\/celebrity-news\/schitts-creek-star-catherine-ohara-dead-at-71-report\/\">died in January at age 71<\/a> after a brief illness.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cSchitt\u2019s Creek\u201d actress was meant to appear in Season 2, which was actively filming at the time. But a source told the US Sun O\u2019Hara <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/01\/30\/celebrity-news\/catherine-ohara-forced-to-miss-early-filming-of-the-studio-season-2-just-days-before-death\/\">never got to shoot her scenes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe was scheduled to film, but they reworked the schedule to focus on scenes without her character,\u201d they said of the days when she was ill.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHer death comes as a total shock to everyone on the show,\u201d the source added. \u201cShe was the most beloved person on the set.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The waiters and bartenders of Gallagher\u2019s play themselves. <span class=\"credit\">Helayne Seidman<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The Gallagher\u2019s scene takes place at its central bar. <span class=\"credit\">Helayne Seidman<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In August, Rogen confirmed to The Times of London that they <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetimes.com\/culture\/tv-radio\/article\/seth-rogen-catherine-ohara-the-studios-return-series-two-2kqdq6xql\">would be \u201cacknowledging\u201d O\u2019Hara\u2019s death<\/a> in the plot.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf anything, we\u2019re acknowledging the idea that we are a little anchorless,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut, honestly, that is a part of life and what we all experience. And so while we try to not dwell too much on heavy themes in this show, they will be there in this second season.
