\n<\/aside>\nSlatten said that she didn\u2019t have medical insurance in India, and Singh explained that going to the US wasn\u2019t an immediate option for them since it wasn\u2019t easy for him to get a visa and she would have a hard time traveling solo.<\/p>\n
The couple also said they didn\u2019t want to rely on Slatten\u2019s three daughters in the US.<\/p>\n
Singh shared, \u201cI\u2019m here to make sure Jenny is doing well, and whenever she needs me I am available. And if she goes to America she will have daughters, but they have their own families and their own lives.\u201d<\/p>\n
Slatten then interjected, \u201cAnd I don\u2019t want to be a burden.\u201d<\/p>\n

Slatten also gave an update on her ALS battle, sadly sharing that she would probably need to be in a wheelchair soon.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs you can hear, my voice is completely different,\u201d she said, referring to her slurred and delayed speech. \u201cMy speech is very slow now. I\u2019m still walking but I get very tired.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m gonna keep walking, but wheelchair probably soon,\u201d she continued, noting that she didn\u2019t want that.<\/p>\nSlatten\u2019s speech was noticeably slurred and delayed as she gave an update on her health. According to their GoFundMe, the donations will be used help cover Slatten\u2019s growing medical expenses, including for equipment such as a walker and wheelchair, in-home nursing or caregiver support, and future hospital and treatment costs. <\/p>\n
Slatten and Singh, who received significant attention on the TLC show due to their 30-year age difference, got married in 2021. Their wedding in India was aired during the season 3 finale of \u201c9<\/em>0 Day Fianc\u00e9: The Other Way.\u201d<\/p>\nSingh told People last month about supporting his wife through her health battle, \u201c\u201cHonestly, I never felt this much love, or I can love anyone this much, I used to \u2026 live for myself. But from [the] last so many years, I feel like doing [things] for someone who you love gives you happiness, I think that\u2019s what love is.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
