He was like, \u2018I got you.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever hard it\u2019s been, the ups and the downs, he\u2019s got me,\u201d Michelle added. \u201cHe\u2019s like, \u2018Try new things. Go leap.\u2019 I can do a lot of these things because I know if I slip or fall or trip, he\u2019s got me.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cHe gave me the courage, he was my ballast. Just being with her made me better. She still does.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He quipped that they haven\u2019t had \u201can equal partnership\u201d in their <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/10\/03\/celebrity-news\/barack-and-michelle-obama-celebrate-their-33rd-wedding-anniversary\/\">33 years of marriage<\/a>, saying, \u201cI\u2019ve gotten, I\u2019m sure, more out of it than she has. But it\u2019s worked out for me really well. They\u2019re out,\u201d she told\u00a0\u201cIMO\u201d podcast listeners in March. \u201cWe\u2019re looking at each other like, \u2018Hey, I remember you.\u2019 Now I\u2019m not mad about anything.
