It was, according to my doctors, a complete success!\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Hall &amp; Oates rocker Daryl Hall (seen above in 2016) shared that he underwent kidney surgery. <span class=\"credit\">C Flanigan<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cI thought you should know that I recently received a kidney transplant from a very kind and generous living donor,\u201d the musician shared on Instagram Tuesday. <span class=\"credit\">realdarylhall\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Hall shared that he \u201cshould be back to normal in a few months,\u201d and expects to return to the stage for \u201cmore music\u201d and shows.<\/p>\n<p>The musician revealed he was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2006 after suffering from a tick bite six years prior.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/lyme\/about\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">According to the CDC<\/a>, Lyme disease spreads through tick bites and symptoms include fever, headache, fatigue and a skin rash.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Hall (seen here in 1979) claimed he is in recovery. <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The vocalist (seen here in 1985) expects to \u201cbe back to normal in a few months.\u201d <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cIf left untreated, infection can spread to joints, the heart, and the nervous system,\u201d the website reads.<\/p>\n<p>Hall, meanwhile, was forced to cancel tour dates following his diagnosis,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.seacoastonline.com\/story\/news\/local\/portsmouth-herald\/2008\/06\/12\/daryl-hall-speaks-out-on\/52380107007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> telling Sea Coast Media<\/a> group in 2008 that he had \u201cgood days and bad days.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was fine for four months then I might have tremors, headaches, fatigue. It\u2019s like a roving street gang of germs,\u201d he previously shared.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Hall (seen here with John Oates in 1976) was previously diagnosed with Lyme disease. <span class=\"credit\">Michael Ochs Archives<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The condition previously led Hall (photographed above in 2018) to cancel tour dates. <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images for iHeartMedia<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Hall and his former bandmate, John Oates, formed Hall &amp; Oates in 1967 and released their number-one single on the Billboard 100, \u201cRich Girl,\u201d in 1976.<\/p>\n<p>A few additional of their chart-topping hits include \u201cKiss on My List\u201d (1981), \u201cPrivate Eyes\u201d (1981), \u201cI Can\u2019t Go for That (No Can Do)\u201d (1981), \u201cManeater\u201d (1982) and \u201cOut of Touch\u201d (1984).<\/p>\n<p>The duo, however, hit a roadblock in 2023 after Hall requested a restraining order and <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2023\/11\/24\/entertainment\/john-oates-shares-cryptic-message-amid-daryl-hall-lawsuit\/\">filed a lawsuit<\/a> against Oates over \u201cthe ground rules of who can sing what as a solo artist, along with money issues.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hall <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2023\/11\/30\/entertainment\/daryl-hall-accuses-john-oates-of-ultimate-partnership-betrayal\/\">accused Oates of the \u201cultimate partnership betrayal\u201d<\/a> after the latter planned on selling his portion of their band\u2019s venture, including personal name, record royalty income, social media assets, trademarks and likeness rights, without permission.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, Oates responded to the filing, stating that he was disheartened by his business partner\u2019s \u201cinflammatory, outlandish and inaccurate statements\u201d and that he\u2019s been trying to improve their partnership.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Hall (left) formed Hall &amp; Oates with John Oates (seen on the right in 1895). <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>One of their top hits is the 1978 track \u201cRich Girl.\u201d (Seen here: Hall and Oates in 1980). <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cOver the years, Daryl has consistently and publicly been adamant about being perceived as an individual rather than as part of a duo or group. Thus, he has insisted on our being known as \u2018Daryl Hall and John Oates,\u2019 rather than the more commonly known \u2018Hall &amp; Oates,\u2019\u201d Oates\u2019 filing wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn this point I agree.
