wedding in the Big Apple.<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of the couple\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/06\/18\/celebrity-news\/inside-taylor-swift-and-travis-kelces-big-day-how-their-wedding-would-work-at-madison-square-garden\/\">upcoming July 3 nuptials<\/a> at Madison Square Garden, City Hall confirmed to The Post on Wednesday that a permit application was filed with the city\u2019s Street Activity Permit Office for July 2 to July 4. <\/p>\n<p>The permit asked for street closures around MSG and for a public tent to be set up outside the venue, which will include 500 to 999 attendees. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2026\/06\/24\/nyregion\/taylor-swift-wedding-madison-square-garden.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the New York Times. <\/a><\/p>\n<figure were\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/06\/05\/entertainment\/taylor-swift-and-travis-kelce-to-marry-at-msg-in-manhattan\/\">hosting their wedding at Madison Square Garden<\/a>\u00a0over Independence Day weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Zo\u00eb Kravitz, Suki Waterhouse, Karlie Kloss, Ed Sheeran, the Haim sisters, Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez are some of the lucky ones who\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/entertainment\/all-the-celebrities-invited-to-taylor-swift-and-travis-kelces-wedding\/\">have reportedly snagged invites<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Insiders recently told us that Los Angeles-based celebrity wedding planner Mark Seed has been working on Swift and Kelce\u2019s MSG wedding \u201cfor months.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Tellingly, the\u00a020,000-seat arena has no events on href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/06\/15\/entertainment\/nyc-mayor-mamdani-drops-major-hint-about-taylor-swift-travis-kelces-wedding\/\">basically confirmed the wedding was happening at MSG <\/a>when he said the city can handle \u201cbig events\u201d \u2014 including \u201cTaylor Swift\u2019s wedding\u201d \u2014 during a recent press conference.<\/p>\n<p>Swift and Kelce aren\u2019t the first couple to choose MSG as their wedding venue.<\/p>\n<p>Funk legend Sly Stone famously hosted his 1974 wedding to model Kathy Silva there, with guests required to wear gold,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/sly-stone-memoir-wedding-madison-square-garden-kathy-silva-1234831027\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">according to Rolling Stone.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Then in 1982, Reverend Sun Myung Moon from the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification held a mass wedding at MSG with 2,075 couples in attendance. <\/p>\n<p>Swift has performed at MSG multiple times, including for her Speak Now and Fearless tours and several Jingle Ball appearances. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image
