Brown\u2019s cause of death have come to light, four months after he <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/02\/26\/celebrity-news\/the-wire-actor-dead-at-62-after-tragic-barn-fire\/\">died in a tragic barn fire<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cWire\u201d alum, who died at 62 in February of diffuse thermal injury and smoke inhalation, \u201chad been consuming alcoholic beverages prior to death,\u201d according to the autopsy and toxicology report <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrity-news\/news\/new-details-revealed-about-bobby-j-browns-cause-of-death\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">obtained by Us Weekly<\/a> on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Drugs, however, were not found in the actor\u2019s system postmortem.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>New details about \u201cThe Wire\u201d alum Bobby J. He was a true joy to represent.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>His agent, meanwhile, gushed, \u201cI am upset and saddened. He was such a good actor and person. He was totally dedicated to the craft of acting and was a joy to work with.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Brown is best known for playing Officer Bobby Brown on \u201cThe Wire.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>His blood was 71 percent carbon monoxide postmortem.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The former boxer\u2019s last acting gig was a role in \u201cMailman\u201d in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Brown\u2019s passing followed a slew of his former \u201cWire\u201d co-stars\u2019 deaths, with James Ransone\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/12\/21\/entertainment\/the-wire-actor-james-ransone-dies-by-suicide-at-46\/\">suicide making headlines<\/a> two months prior.<\/p>\n<p>Cast members Charley Scalies and Al Brown both <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/05\/04\/celebrity-news\/charley-scalies-actor-on-the-wire-and-the-sopranos-dies-at-84\/\">died in May 2025<\/a>, while Michael K.
