Do not proceed unless you\u2019ve watched \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d episode 8, \u201cWhiskey Limits.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The seventh episode of the <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/14\/entertainment\/yellowstone-spinoff-dutton-ranch-is-a-winner-review\/\">\u201cYellowstone\u201d spinoff \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d<\/a> ended with Beulah Jackson (Annette Bening) collapsing at a party. What happened to her \u2013 is she dead?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The eighth episode reveals that she\u2019s still alive, and had a heart attack.\u00a0A medical helicopter transports her from her remote ranch to a hospital. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Annette Bening\u2019s Beulah (pictured in \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d with Kelly Reilly\u2019s Beth) collapsed at the end of the seventh episode.  <span class=\"credit\">Emerson Miller\/Paramount+<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Beulah (pictured) isn\u2019t dead, she had a heart attack.  <span class=\"credit\">Lauren Smith\/Paramount+<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Called \u201cWhiskey Limits,\u201d the episode follows Beulah as she recovers from her medical incident, which scares her old flame, Everett McKinney (Ed Harris), into making their romance official.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In the previous episode, Beulah was going to leave her ranch, The 10 Petal, to her adopted son, Joaquin (Juan Pablo Raba).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>However, her volatile drug addict son, Rob-Will (Jai Courtney), pressured her to put him in charge instead.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Rob-Will (Jai Courtney, pictured in \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d) will take over the 10 Petal Ranch,  much to Beth\u2019s dismay.  <span class=\"credit\">Emerson Miller\/Paramount+<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Rip (Cole Hauser, pictured in \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d) are both temporarily working for the 10 Petal Ranch.  <span class=\"credit\">Emerson Miller\/Paramount+<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cDutton Ranch\u201d follows Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser) after the events of \u201cYellowstone,\u201d as they move from Montana to Texas after her father John Dutton\u2019s (Kevin Costner) death.<\/p>\n<p>Beulah is their neighbor, and after Beth and Rip lose their cattle herd to disease, they\u2019re temporarily working for her.\u00a0Beth isn\u2019t happy about Beulah putting Rob-Will in charge, and points out that this \u201cchanges things.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI didn\u2019t agree to work with your son. I agreed to work with you,\u201d Beth says, calling Rob-Will a \u201cliability.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Paramount renewed \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d with Beth and Rip (pictured) for Season 2 on Wednesday.  <span class=\"credit\">Emerson Miller\/Paramount+<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Paramount said that \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d with Bening and Ed Harris (pictured) got nearly 13 million viewers on streaming, its first week.  <span class=\"credit\">Emerson Miller\/Paramount+<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Beulah tells Beth that she\u2019s not leaving immediately, \u201cSo if you\u2019re willing, I\u2019d love for you to just take it a day at a time.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, Paramount renewed the show for a Season 2, hailing it as the biggest debut in Paramount+ history.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Per the network, it drew nearly 13 million viewers during its first week streaming, and nearly 3 million viewers airing on Paramount Network, making it the biggest series premiere on cable since 2023.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Hauser (pictured with Reilly in \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d) addressed the firing of showrunner Chad Feehand, saying, \u201cThings change.\u201d  <span class=\"credit\">Emerson Miller\/Paramount+<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Beulah\u2019s son Rob Will (pictured) will take over the ranch, and nobody is happy about that.  <span class=\"credit\">Lauren Smith\/Paramount+ For screengrabs, simply remove the photographer name<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The show has already had some drama behind the scenes. Although it\u2019s produced by \u201cYellowstone\u201d creator Taylor Sheridan, Chad Feehan was the showrunner, and<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/04\/24\/entertainment\/dutton-ranch-drama-yellowstone-spinoff-showrunner-quietly-let-go-3-weeks-before-premiere\/\"> he was quietly let go<\/a> three weeks before Season 1 premiered.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In an interview published Wednesday, Hauser <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-features\/dutton-ranch-kelly-reilly-cole-hauser-yellowstone-interview-1236628816\/\">told The Hollywood Reporter,<\/a> \u201cShowrunners change all the time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hauser, 51, who is also producing \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d as well as starring in it, added, \u201cThis business is about adapting. We\u2019ve been doing this for a long time. Things change.
