ex-wife\u00a0Angelina Jolie\u00a0over Ch\u00e2teau Miraval.<\/p>\n<p>Pitt\u2019s lawyers had argued that investors from the company had firsthand knowledge of Jolie\u2019s<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2021\/10\/06\/angelina-jolie-sells-her-stake-in-164m-french-estate\/\"> 2021 sale of the French winery<\/a> \u2014 that he and his ex-wife co-owned \u2014 to Tenute del to depose the Stoli Group\u2019s Alexey Oliynik.<\/p>\n<p>Oliynik has allegedly refused to turn over relevant documents or appear for a deposition, arguing that he could not be forced to do so as a resident of Switzerland.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/brad-pitt-scores-legal-win-angelina-jolie-winery-testify-exclusive-12007119\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">People was the first href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2023\/07\/12\/brad-pitt-ill-force-out-oligarch-who-bought-angelinas-chateau-miraval-share\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sold off her shares for half the vineyard<\/a> in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cFight Club\u201d star <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2022\/02\/17\/brad-pitt-sues-angelina-jolie-over-french-estate-brad-pitt-sues-angelina-jolie-over-french-chateau-sale\/\">filed a lawsuit<\/a> the following year claiming that his former spouse had made the sale despite a prior agreement that neither would do so unless the other person approved.<\/p>\n<p>However, Jolie denied that agreement, claiming in a countersuit judge ruled that lawyers for the Stoli Group<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/28\/celebrity-news\/brad-pitt-scores-big-win-in-legal-battle-with-ex-angelina-jolie-over-chateau-miraval\/\"> improperly blocked testimony<\/a> during a key deposition tied to the case.<\/p>\n<p>The court found that former Stoli General Counsel, Todd Culyba, was improperly instructed not to answer 33 questions during a December deposition concerning Jolie\u2019s 2021\u00a0sale of her stake in the French winery\u00a0business.<\/p>\n<p>The ruling also\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/11\/14\/celebrity-news\/brad-pitt-and-angelina-jolies-bitter-winery-war-heads-to-trial-but-the-case-could-rage-through-2026\/\">ordered Culyba to sit for another deposition<\/a>\u00a0and answer the previously blocked questions, along with related follow-ups, over objections from the Stoli side.<\/p>\n<p>Jolie, notably, <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/05\/celebrity-news\/angelina-jolie-scores-big-win-over-brad-pitt-in-miraval-legal-battle\/\">scored a legal win of her own<\/a> last month.<\/p>\n<figure
