Bush] thought it was very funny and he\u2019d be like, \u2018That\u2019s my girl!\u2019\u201d<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Bush Hager admitted, \u201cI like to heckle, OK?\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy dad, [former president George W. Bush], thought it was very funny and he\u2019d be like, \u2018That\u2019s my girl!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While the journalist\u2019s father, 79, was amused, both her late grandmother and late grandfather \u2014 former President George H.W. Bush \u2014 were not. <\/p>\n<p>Bush Hanger didn\u2019t exactly heckle her grandparents, but they weren\u2019t thrilled by what they witnessed either. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>The anchor (pictured here with her grandmother) told co-host Sheinelle Jones: \u201cMy grandfather really believed in sportsmanship, like being really kind and humble and all those things.\u201d <span class=\"credit\">Jenna Bush Hager\/twitter<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>\u201cAnd I think my \u2026 behavior rubbed my grandmother the wrong way, so she wrote me a letter,\u201d the host (pictured here with her grandparents) shared. <span class=\"credit\">\/ Shutterstock<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cMy grandfather really believed in sportsmanship, like being really kind and humble and all those things,\u201d she recalled to co-host Sheinelle Jones, 48. \u201cAnd I think my \u2026 behavior rubbed my grandmother the wrong way, so she wrote me a letter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When Bush Hager returned from summer vacation and was gearing up for her three kids \u2014 Mila, 13, Poppy, 10, Hal, 6 \u2014 to return to school, she received her grandmother\u2019s note.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe best part is that she addressed it to me\u00a0<em>and<\/em>\u00a0my dad,\u201d the author said. \u201cShe was like, \u2018That behavior on the tennis court was not becoming. And George, you shouldn\u2019t have cheered her on, either.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The former first lady, meanwhile, didn\u2019t want anyone to know about her note.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Bush Hager (pictured here with her sister, Barbara, parents, George W. Throw this letter away and don\u2019t tell anybody about it.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"anchor-3ef216\">As the NBC anchor cheekily stated, \u201cOops!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bush Hager has never shied away from airing her hilarious family stories while live on air.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, the reporter, who tied the knot with husband Henry Chase Hager in 2008, revealed the <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/13\/parents\/jenna-bush-hager-shares-offensive-nickname-her-kids-call-her\/\">offensive nickname her children have given<\/a> her.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey call me Biggie,\u201d she confessed to Jones. \u201cThey\u2019re like, \u2018OK, Biggie!\u2019 And I\u2019m like, \u2018Excuse me?\u2019 They\u2019re like, \u2018Whatever, Biggie!\u2019\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The TV personality asked her eldest to cut it out, worried that her younger kids would use the moniker in the wrong setting.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Hager (pictured here in 2021) confessed that her grandmother left another message at the bottom of the letter. <span class=\"credit\">Nathan Congleton\/NBC via Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>The mom of three (pictured here with her grandmother in 1999) shared: \u201cAnd then it said, \u2018P.S. Hal\u2019s gonna go to school and his teacher\u2019s gonna be like, \u2018Now, Hal, please turn in your homework.\u2019 And he\u2019s gonna be like, \u2018No way, Biggie!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She explained that the term \u201cBiggie\u201d hails from \u201cBig Back.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe has simplified it just to Biggie. Part of me at first found it to be \u2026 I like humor in words, so I was like, \u2018Oh, that\u2019s creative,\u2019\u201d the media mogul detailed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I\u2019m like, \u2018Stop calling everybody Biggie.
