Officers attended the address and discovered the young girl dead.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\"><a target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/all-about\/surrey-police\" rel=\"follow\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"\">Surrey Police<\/a> initially said the child was aged three but confirmed on Saturday that she was in fact two years old. Kerjean is a French national born in the Central African Republic.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">On Friday, floral tributes were left outside Syward Place, a block of flats on the corner of Pyrcroft Road and Bell Bridge Road, as shocked residents paid their respects.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">One local resident said: &#8220;I\u2019m surprised, that\u2019s very unusual for Chertsey&#8221;. While another added: &#8220;It\u2019s tragic. Things like that don\u2019t happen around here.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">A police spokesman added: &#8220;If you have any information which could help our investigation, please contact us via direct message quoting PR\/SYP-20260625-0759.
