moving back to the United States.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas Markle left the Philippines, where he moved last year, to pursue \u201congoing medical care\u201d in America, according to his daughter Samantha Markle.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe will be \u2026 surrounded by family and friends to support him,\u201d Samantha, 61, said (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/news\/royals\/meghan-markle-dad-thomas-harry-37103645\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">via the Mirror UK<\/a>) of the 81-year-old, who underwent an <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/12\/05\/celebrity-news\/meghan-markles-estranged-dad-thomas-has-leg-amputated-after-foot-turned-black-in-life-threatening-situation\/\">emergency leg amputation<\/a> in December 2025.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Meghan Markle\u2019s dad, Thomas Markle (pictured above in March couldn\u2019t \u201cwalk and [was] trapped.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Slamming Markle and husband Prince Harry, Samantha wrote via X that she hoped \u201cthe same thing\u201d would happen to the couple.<\/p>\n<p>Two months later, news broke that Thomas <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/12\/03\/celebrity-news\/meghan-markles-estranged-dad-thomas-in-icu-following-emergency-surgery\/\">was
