No safety!<\/p>\n<p>A<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/07\/06\/us-news\/dangerous-flash-flood-threat-escalates-for-nearly-60m-across-northeast\/\"> violent thunderstorm wreaked havoc<\/a> in Sag Harbor on Saturday amid July 4 celebrations, tearing trees from the ground and whipping anything not bolted down into the air. <\/p>\n<p>Within five minutes of the fireworks ending \u201call hell broke loose,\u201d we\u2019re told.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEmergency alerts went off on [the] phone informing us that there were 80 mph winds and to take shelter. They were like, \u2018Do you have a reservation?\u2019 They left people outside with 80 mph winds,\u201d a source added.<\/p>\n<p>Another source described the scene around the restaurant, saying \u201cumbrellas and dishes falling over and injuring several people seconds after fireworks ended.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne woman got pushed to the ground. Another woman\u2019s leg [was] cut,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n<p>Peter Cook, Morris Moinian, Howard Sobel, Maria Fishel and Sydney Sadick were all seen \u201crunning for shelter,\u201d they added. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>A tree fell down at Calissa in Southampton.  <span class=\"credit\">Calissa<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Parts of Long Island, including Hamptons, lost electricity during the storm.  <span class=\"credit\">China News Service via Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Bilboquet owner Philippe Delgrange told us they did the best they could. \u201cEveryone from outside, from the very large deck, were safely moved indoors and we managed the crowd as best as [we] could to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>We hear that people who were turned away fled to American hotel. <\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, over at Calissa in Southampton, \u201cThe storm ripped apart 20 feet of fencing, one tree fell down and yet 100 people stayed to [see] Sam Ronson play,\u201d says a source. \u201cF-cking nuts,\u201d they added.<\/p>\n<p>Some New Yorkers cut their Hamptons visit short, and headed back to the city on Sunday, we hear. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cHalf the town has no electricity and no internet!
