An unnamed girlfriend told police detectives that Sheets got out of bed late after being unable to sleep. <\/p>\n<p>After finding him standing in the doorway to his office, he told her to \u201cgo back to bed,\u201d after which she heard a single gunshot. <\/p>\n<p>The girlfriend also claimed in the report that his son [Brandon Sheets] had recently been in an argument with his father at the Arizona home over \u201cfamily drama.\u201d <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Darrell Sheets, seen above in 2012, left a suicide note, according to a police report obtained by TMZ.  <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>The \u201cStorage Wars\u201d star, seen above in 2011, referenced \u201cFacebook\u201d bullying in the note. <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Per the outlet, she also claimed the A&amp;E star\u2019s daughter-in-law had allegedly texted him, claiming the girlfriend had stolen money from him and of being suspicious.<\/p>\n<p>Darrell was said to have been \u201cvisibly upset\u201d by the confrontation. <\/p>\n<p>The girlfriend also claimed in another interview that the arguments escalated to a point of shouting, and that she left the house as the son was yelling at Darrell. <\/p>\n<p>She allegedly said Darrell said he didn\u2019t want to be alone with his son, that he\u2019d been \u201csad as hell\u201d following the visit and that he felt he\u2019d let his son down.<\/p>\n<p>In a follow-up interview, she said the arguments with Darrell\u2019s son became so heated she left the house at one point because the son was yelling at Darrell. She claimed Darrell told her he didn\u2019t want to be alone with his son and had been \u201csad as hell\u201d after the visit, feeling like he\u2019d let him down.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities also noted that the reality personality had faced \u201csevere insomnia\u201d for months prior to his death, and that his girlfriend claimed he\u2019d been under \u201ctremendous stress\u201d \u2014 though she indicated he\u2019d never \u201ctalked about harming himself.\u201d <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>The girlfriend claimed that the TV star, seen here in 2012, had gotten out of the bed the night of his death because he couldn\u2019t sleep.  <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>The TV star was also said to have argued with his son in the newly obtained documents.  <span class=\"credit\">callkimber\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>She said their relationship had been \u201cstrong,\u201d according to the report. <\/p>\n<p>Though the girlfriend wasn\u2019t named, Darrell was said to have remained close to ex-wife Kimber Wuerfel, whom he divorced in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Darrell was found dead on April 22 of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The Mohave County Medical Examiner\u2019s Office subsequently\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/27\/celebrity-news\/storage-wars-star-darrell-sheets-autopsy-report-reveals-new-details-of-his-death\/\">confirmed in May that he died by suicide.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The TV star\u2019s \u201cStorage Wars\u201d\u00a0castmates\u00a0Laura\u00a0and\u00a0Dan Dotson\u00a0claimed he\u00a0was living in fear\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/04\/22\/celebrity-news\/police-investigating-claim-storage-wars-star-darrell-sheets-was-cyberbullied-before-death\/\">over alleged cyberbullying<\/a> before his death. \u201cHis family told us\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/04\/25\/celebrity-news\/storage-wars-stars-reveal-why-darrell-sheets-was-terrified-for-his-life-before-his-unexpected-death\/\">that this has been happening for three years<\/a>,\u201d Laura told\u00a0Us Weekly in April.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Darrell, pictured above with son Brandon in a previous social media post, died on April 22 from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. <span class=\"credit\">Instagram\/Brandon Sheets<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>He was previously married to Kimber Weurfel, seen above with him in a social media upload.  <span class=\"credit\">callkimber\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201c[It happens to] even strong men that you think aren\u2019t gonna get their feelings hurt. Cyberbullying is a real thing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Prior to his death,\u00a0Darrell addressed the alleged cyberbullies\u00a0in a Facebook post, according to the outlet, saying that his \u201ccyberbully stalker\u201d had also harassed others.<\/p>\n<p>Brandon \u2014 who appeared on the series with his father from 2010 to 2017 \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/02\/celebrity-news\/brandon-sheets-mourns-father-darrell-sheets\/\">mourned his father\u2019s death<\/a> in an emotional Instagram upload.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy heart is so broken\u2026.I love you Dad and I will do my best to live in your honor and respect our Family,\u201d he wrote in part in an April 30 Instagram post. <\/p>\n<p>Wuerfel, meanwhile, also <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/01\/celebrity-news\/storage-wars-star-darrell-sheets-ex-wife-breaks-silence-on-his-death\/\">shared a tribute<\/a> to her ex-husband via Instagram. \u201cDarrell gave us so many moments of laughter, connection, and life.
