But, despite the continued efforts of the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff\u2019s office, Nancy has yet to be located. <\/p>\n<p>In the most recent update, Savannah opened up about the \u201cagony and unending trauma\u201d she and her loved ones are going through amid the devastating five-month experience so far. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is not a moment that goes by that we aren\u2019t actively trying to find our mom,\u201d she told KOLD 13 News last week.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"> <span class=\"credit\">savannahguthrie\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"> <span class=\"credit\">Savannah Guthrie\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Savannah then thanked the Tucson community \u201cfor holding her in their hearts,\u201d as well as both the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff\u2019s Department \u201cfor their tireless work\u201d on the case.<\/p>\n<p>In Nancy\u2019s absence, <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/06\/26\/celebrity-news\/person-claims-to-have-video-of-nancy-guthrie-with-kidnapper-in-bombshell-new-ransom-letter\/\">several ransom notes<\/a> have been released with demands for millions of dollars worth of bitcoin for Nancy\u2019s safe return. <\/p>\n<p>However, shortly before Savannah\u2019s statement, it was reported that\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/06\/26\/celebrity-news\/person-claims-to-have-video-of-nancy-guthrie-with-kidnapper-in-bombshell-new-ransom-letter\/\">\u201cnone of the ransom notes\u201d<\/a>\u00a0that have been received\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/07\/01\/celebrity-news\/fbi-determined-ransom-note-claiming-nancy-guthrie-died-is-fake-report\/\">\u201care believed to be genuine.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"> <span class=\"credit\">Today Show\/NBC<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"> <span class=\"credit\">savannahguthrie\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThe FBI and its task force partners have received several ransom notes over the course of this investigation. Some have been deemed to be extortion attempts without legitimacy,\u201d the FBI said in response to the aforementioned report.<\/p>\n<p>The feds went on to state that there are \u201cother ransom demands [that] may potentially be legitimate and are still being investigated as such.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis case continues to be investigated as a kidnapping for ransom case.
