He was seated in the motorized wheelchair in a park clutching a pair of binoculars.<\/p>\n<p>Cox\u2019s character Framt was introduced to audiences in Season 1 of \u201cDexter: Resurrection,\u201d without ever being seen on screen.<\/p>\n<p>An <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paramountpressexpress.com\/showtime\/shows\/dexter-resurrection\/releases\/?view=112633-emmy-olivier-and-golden-globe-winner-brian-cox-joins-season-two-of-dexter-resurrection-for-paramount\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">official release<\/a> from Paramount+ in April described Cox\u2019s character as \u201ca serial killer who terrorized the City years ago. Hall, was seated in a motorized wheelchair in both sets of photos. <span class=\"credit\">GC Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Cox \u2014 who was the first actor to play Dr. Hannibal Lecter in 1986\u2019s \u201cManhunter\u201d \u2014 is a longtime Emmy, <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2020\/01\/05\/succession-star-brian-cox-kisses-kieran-culkin-on-lips-after-golden-globes-win\/\">Golden Globe<\/a>, and BAFTA Award winner whose career spans both TV and film.<\/p>\n<p>Though the Scottish actor has yet to comment on the new role, he has spoken out in the past about how he approached playing serial killer Lecter \u2014 years before Anthony Hopkins took on the role in 1991\u2019s \u201cSilence of the Lambs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s so easy to play people as bogeymen \u2014 \u2018scary guys\u2019 \u2014 but the thing that\u2019s scary about someone is how acceptable they are,\u201d Cox <a href=\"https:\/\/www.womansworld.com\/entertainment\/movies\/manhunter-brian-cox-on-playing-the-original-hannibal-lecter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told Woman\u2019s World<\/a> in March.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s what\u2019s\u00a0<em>really<\/em>\u00a0scary, because we can act with that and that makes a character frightening,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Cox, pictured above in Season 4 of \u201cSuccession,\u201d is a Golden Globe and Emmy-winning actor. <span class=\"credit\">David M.
