{"id":8355,"date":"2026-07-09T22:36:56","date_gmt":"2026-07-09T22:36:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/taylor-frankie-paul-returning-for-secret-lives-of-mormon-wives-for-season-5-but-theres-a-twist\/"},"modified":"2026-07-09T22:36:56","modified_gmt":"2026-07-09T22:36:56","slug":"taylor-frankie-paul-returning-for-secret-lives-of-mormon-wives-for-season-5-but-theres-a-twist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/taylor-frankie-paul-returning-for-secret-lives-of-mormon-wives-for-season-5-but-theres-a-twist\/","title":{"rendered":"Taylor Frankie Paul returning for &#8216;Secret Lives of Mormon Wives&#8217; for Season 5 \u2014 but there&#8217;s a twist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/wp-content%2Fuploads%2Fsites%2F3%2F2026%2F07%2F133909338.jpg?quality%3D90%26strip%3Dall\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Taylor Frankie Paul will be returning to film \u201cSecret Lives of Mormon Wives\u201d Season 5 \u2014 but only the opening credits.<\/p>\n<p>TMZ was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2026\/07\/09\/taylor-frankie-paul-returns-to-mormon-wives-to-complete-fifth-season\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">first to report<\/a> the news.<\/p>\n<p>While she\u2019s won\u2019t be filming with the rest of the cast, it was reported in April that Paul would likely get in front of the cameras <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/04\/21\/celebrity-news\/the-secret-lives-of-mormon-wives-resuming-production-following-taylor-frankie-paul-fallout\/\">\u201cat some point,\u201d<\/a> according to a source. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Taylor Frankie Paul (pictured here in an episode of \u201cSecret Lives of Mormon Wives\u201d) will return for Season 5 of the Hulu series.  <span class=\"credit\">Disney<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>However, Paul (seen here sitting middle between Layla Taylor and Miranda McWhorter) is only expected to film the opening credits.  <span class=\"credit\">Disney<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>The reality star is expected to spend her time away focusing on her family, but the \u201centire cast and production crews are supportive\u201d of her eventual return, the insider told TMZ at the time.<\/p>\n<p>Paul\u2019s participation in the upcoming season was up in the air as she <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/07\/01\/celebrity-news\/taylor-frankie-paul-checks-herself-into-rehab-as-co-parenting-drama-escalates\/\">checked herself into a rehab facility<\/a> earlier this month amid her ongoing custody battles with <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/04\/07\/celebrity-news\/taylor-frankie-paul-faces-custody-blow-in-court-as-judge-is-concerned-over-her-volatile-behavior\/\">her ex Dakota Mortensen<\/a> and her <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/06\/30\/celebrity-news\/taylor-frankie-pauls-ex-husband-seeks-restraining-order-asks-for-sole-custody-of-kids\/\">former husband Tate Paul. <\/a><\/p>\n<p>Taylor shares two children \u2014 daughter Indy, 8, and son Ocean, 6, with Tate. She later welcomed another son, Ever, 2, with Mortensen. <\/p>\n<p>Tate filed documents seeking a temporary restraining order against Taylor and sole custody of their two kids last month. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Paul\u2019s involvement in the forthcoming installment remained unclear for some time after it was reported in April that she would not be filming. to be focusing on her family amid her ongoing legal troubles.  <span class=\"credit\">Disney<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>At the time, a source close to the \u201cBachelorette\u201d star called the restraining order filing \u201ca direct result\u201d of Mortensen \u201ctelling Tate lies about her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe feels Dakota will do anything to hurt her \u2026 including using the children, but she is a survivor,\u201d per the outlet.<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after the filing, it was reported that Tate\u2019s request was denied. <\/p>\n<p>Taylor has been embroiled in a tense custody battle with Mortensen for several months after video leaked of a <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/03\/19\/celebrity-news\/taylor-frankie-paul-attacks-dakota-mortensen-with-chair-in-front-of-daughter-video\/\">2023 domestic dispute<\/a> taking place between the estranged pair, who began their <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/09\/10\/entertainment\/where-taylor-frankie-paul-ex-dakota-mortensen-stand-ahead-of-bachelorette-filming\/\">on-again, off-again relationship<\/a> in 2022.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>In June, Taylor\u2019s ex-husband Tate Paul filed for sole custody of custody<\/a>\u00a0of Ever, with Taylor getting <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/04\/07\/celebrity-news\/taylor-frankie-paul-faces-custody-blow-in-court-as-judge-is-concerned-over-her-volatile-behavior\/\">\u201csupervised\u201d visitation<\/a>\u00a0with the toddler due to concerns regarding her \u201cvolatile\u201d behavior. <\/p>\n<p>At the time, Taylor was the focus of three separate domestic violence investigations \u2014 all of which, resulted in prosecutors\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/04\/14\/celebrity-news\/taylor-frankie-paul-wont-face-new-charges-following-domestic-violence-investigations\/\">declining to press charges<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The reality stars both\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/04\/07\/celebrity-news\/taylor-frankie-paul-files-restraining-order-against-dakota-mortensen\/\">filed for protective orders<\/a>\u00a0against each other, which were\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/04\/30\/celebrity-news\/judge-criticizes-taylor-frankie-paul-dakota-mortensen-in-protective-order-ruling\/\">mutually granted<\/a>\u00a0in April.<\/p>\n<p>In their most recent custody hearing, Mortensen <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/07\/09\/parents\/taylor-frankie-pauls-ex-dakota-mortensen-scolded-by-judge-for-son-2-riding-motorcycle\/\">received a serious scolding<\/a> from a judge after he was seen riding with his 2-year-old on his motorcycle. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter
