But I didn\u2019t respond to it,\u201d Garret, 59, told Melissa. \u201cIt didn\u2019t sound like him.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Music producer Garret \u201cJacknife\u201d Lee and his wife, Melissa Garner Lee (both pictured above at Cannes Film Festival 2025), didn\u2019t attend Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce\u2019s wedding after Garret deleted the invitation. <span class=\"credit\">Dave Benett\/Getty Images for Apple<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Melissa (seen above) wrote a piece for the Huffington Post explaining how she was \u201cfurious\u201d her husband deleted the invitation. <span class=\"credit\">jacknifelee\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Garret \u2014 who worked with Swift on her song \u201cThe Last Time\u201d from her 2012 album \u201cRed\u201d \u2014 insisted he \u201cthought someone was trying to hack my address book,\u201d which further infuriated his wife.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cReeling in frustration, I left the room,\u201d Melissa, who is a psychotherapist, recalled. \u201cMy jaw was clenched tight, so I purposefully took a deep breath and let it out slowly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Melissa said when she returned to the room, Garret asked her why\u2019d she \u201ceven want to go\u201d to the <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/07\/07\/celebrity-news\/taylor-swift-travis-kelce-wedding-guests-lift-lid-on-couples-intimate-moments-decor-and-menu\/\">star-studded July 3 wedding in New York City.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wanted to go because it would give me a bit of hope,\u201d Melissa  remembered telling Garret. \u201cHope for love! Hope for some good in the world! I don\u2019t know\u2026 maybe hope in America at a dark time?\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Garett told Melissa (pictured above with her kids) he thought the invite was \u201cspam.\u201d <span class=\"credit\">jacknifelee\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Garret (seen above performing in 1994) got the invite from Swift\u2019s manager, but he \u201cthought someone was trying to hack my address book.\u201d <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Melissa also said she \u201cwould have loved to hear the musical guests,\u201d<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/06\/27\/entertainment\/taylor-swift-and-travis-kelces-nuptials-bigger-than-the-met-gala\/\"> including Stevie Nicks<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>When Garret tried to apologize by noting<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/07\/02\/us-news\/taylor-swift-overlooks-key-detail-in-msg-wedding-planning-nycs-record-breaking-heatwave\/\"> how \u201chot\u201d it was at the wedding<\/a>, Melissa said she felt herself \u201cstarting to lose my mind again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were invited to the wedding of the decade and we didn\u2019t go because it might be too hot?\u201d she wrote. \u201cWe didn\u2019t even RSVP \u2018no.\u2019 How rude is that?
