been arrested in a murder investigation in Leicester after a man who was found with serious injuries in the street later died.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Emergency services rushed to the scene of the incident on Compton Road early on Sunday morning, with police contacted at 6.58am by East Midlands Ambulance Service, who were first in attendance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">A man, in his late 20s, had been found in the street by the ambulance service and he was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Two men, aged 36 and 27, have now been arrested on suspicion of murder this evening and remain in police custody.<\/p>\n<div data-testid=\"image-group\"><button tent erected within the cordon earlier on Sunday morning. The tent has since been taken down, though the cordon and privacy screens remain in place on Compton Road, near Narborough Road.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">An investigation has been seeking to establish how the man came to be in the street and the full circumstances of what happened, said <a target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/all-about\/leicestershire-police\" rel=\"follow\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"\">Leicestershire Police<\/a>. The man&#8217;s next of kin have been identified and are being supported by trained officers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Detective Inspector Kevin Hames, from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit, said that the investigation is at an early stage and that the force is appealing to anyone with information or footage to get in touch.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">He stated: &#8220;We are in the very early stages of this investigation with full enquiries being carried out as we continue to establish what has happened.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;As we progress our enquiries, I do of course ask that anyone with any information makes contact with us as soon as possible. Were you in the area of Compton Road this morning? Did you see or hear anything which caused you concern? I would also ask anyone with CCTV footage or dashcam footage from the area to get in touch.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;Further enquiries including speaking with witnesses, CCTV analysis and forensic examination is ongoing. We also have officers in the area and at the scene.
