via Instagram<\/a> Friday after several questioned why he was aiming to raise $5,500 instead of asking his famous mother for the money.<\/p>\n\u201cHaters gonna hate,\u201d he wrote in the comments of his original video. \u201cI\u2019m sure I\u2019ll have to explain this many more times to ignorant people who think I should \u2018ask my mom\u2019 or that I have money \u2026 YEAH, I also have a lot of bills, I also have a budget.\u201d <\/p>\nPriscilla Presley\u2019s son, Navarone Garibaldi Garcia, defended starting a GoFundMe to start a pizza\u00a0business. Instagram\/nava_rone<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n<\/aside>\nGarcia, 39, explained that he also donates money to several causes, including homelessness.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf I just went all in every time I thought I had a great idea \u2026 I\u2019d be broke in 2 days,\u201d he continued. <\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m not asking [anyone] to donate that can\u2019t afford to,\u201d the songwriter added. \u201cI\u2019m offering free pizza to people that donate.\u201d<\/p>\n\u201cHaters gonna hate,\u201d he said. \u201cJust asking for help on the remaining bit that\u2019s out of my budget. That\u2019s all. Love and Peace, Kindness and pizza,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n
In the Them Guns\u2019 frontman\u2019s original video, he told viewers that \u201cevery little bit\u201d helped him toward his goal, adding in his GoFundMe description that he was putting $3,000 of his own funds toward the oven.<\/p>\nThe songwriter explained that he was asking for $5,500 and was already putting in $3,000 of his own funds. Instagram\/nava_rone<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\u201cJust asking for help on the remaining bit that\u2019s out of my budget. That\u2019s all,\u201d he said. Instagram\/nava_rone<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\u201cI have always wanted to start my own business, but marketing and advertising always get in my way,\u201d he wrote. \u201cThe pizza dough and sauces already sourced. It\u2019s just buying the oven that I need to get me started.\u201d<\/p>\n
As of Sunday afternoon, Garcia had raised $2,880.<\/p>\n
Several fans also defended the aspiring businessman, with one writing via social media, \u201cMaybe he\u2019s trying to live his own life without asking mommy.\u201d<\/p>\nOne person praised Garcia (seen here) for trying to make his own way.
