The dress was vintage and was first shown on the spring\/summer 2009 runway \u2014\u00a0albeit with a decidedly smaller topper.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The official dress code prohibits hats for women completely. <span class=\"credit\">WireImage<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Many around Lopez either used their fans as shade or donned caps, like actress Sarah Pidgeon (pictured bottom left). <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Even Kate Middleton and her children broke the Royal Box rules at one point. <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The singer was seated in the Royal Box, which brings with it their own list of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wimbledon.com\/en_GB\/royal_box\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dress code requirements<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLadies are asked not to wear hats,\u201d the official website reads, \u201cas they tend to obscure the vision of those seated behind them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It is true that Lopez technically broke the rule but \u2014 especially during this current heatwave, many in the Royal Box have wavered \u2014 wearing both small or wide-brimmed hats that shield their face from the sun.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, right next to Lopez, many broke out their low-profile Ralph Lauren caps while <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/07\/13\/style\/nicole-kidman-puts-a-suited-spin-on-tennis-whites-at-wimbledon-2026-mens-finals\/\">Nicole Kidman<\/a> and even <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/07\/13\/style\/kate-middleton-wears-green-emilia-wickstead-dress-at-wimbledon-2026-mens-final\/\">Princess Kate herself<\/a> went wide-brimmed for part of the game. Princess Charlotte as well as countless others around them chose the official Wimbledon Panama hat as well.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The singer eventually removed the hat, looking perfectly coiffed underneath. <span class=\"credit\">WireImage<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Tennis fans called out Lopez for her extra-wide style. <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>But, the enormity of Lopez\u2019s choice seems to have taken it too far \u2014 at least according to tennis fans.<\/p>\n<p>The hat quickly became the source of much Wimbledon fodder on social media.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/mamboitaliano__\/status\/2076446954209386771\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">One X user wrote<\/a> that the hat \u201ccould cast a shadow over the dome of St. Peter\u2019s Basilica in Rome,\u201d while another replied \u201cshe\u2019s providing the eclipse for the entire back row.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/leanneb68\/status\/2076360222159810601\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">One comment read<\/a>, \u201cJLo looks like she has made her hat from an amazon box!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Whether with encouraging or by choice, she eventually removed the hat, offering an unobstructed view of the match for all those around her, including Cynia Erivo who sat above her right shoulder \u2014\u00a0newsboy cap and all.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/07\/13\/style\/jennifer-lopez-breaks-wimbledon-2026-dress-code-with-huge-hat\/\" target=\"_blank\">Source link<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jennifer Lopez attended Sunday\u2019s Wimbledon 2026 men\u2019s singles finals in head-to-toe Ralph Lauren.
