Lively\u2019s latest legal request, days after <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/07\/08\/celebrity-news\/justin-baldoni-breaks-silence-on-shocking-blake-lively-settlement\/\">breaking his silence<\/a> on their <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/entertainment\/blake-lively-justin-baldoni-drama-it-ends-with-us-movie\/\">ongoing court battle<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, the actor submitted a filing dubbing his \u201cIt Ends With Us\u201d co-star\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/06\/30\/celebrity-news\/blake-lively-demands-justin-baldoni-pay-8-million-in-legal-fees-after-settling-legal-war\/\">demand for legal fees<\/a> \u201cexcessive\u201d \u2014 and requesting a judge reduce it.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Justin Baldoni (pictured above in call Lively\u2019s request for $8 million \u201canything but a typical fee motion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lively asked in June to be awarded $7,495,526.87 in attorneys\u2019 fees and $539,514.01 in litigation costs and expenses.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Last month, the \u201cGossip Girl\u201d alum (pictured above on May 19) asked to numerous charges for lawyers conferencing, conferring or strategizing with one another.\u201d <span class=\"credit\">Robert Miller for NY Post<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Baldoni\u2019s attorneys blasted the latter as a \u201cwhopping\u201d sum that \u201cshould be denied in its entirety.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The lawyers pointed out that the New York Times previously requested $181,622.70 in attorneys\u2019 fees in a \u201cmotion to dismiss precisely the same defamation claim.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Baldoni, notably, <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/12\/31\/celebrity-news\/justin-baldoni-files-250m-libel-lawsuit-against-the-new-york-times-over-blake-lively-story\/\">sued the publication for $250 million<\/a> in 2024 in a case that was later dismissed \u2014 as was his $400 lawsuit against Lively.<\/p>\n<p>As for Lively\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/12\/31\/celebrity-news\/blake-lively-sues-justin-baldoni-over-it-ends-with-us-feud\/\">lawsuit against Baldoni<\/a>, the duo <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/04\/celebrity-news\/blake-lively-and-justin-baldoni-reach-shocking-agreement-in-it-ends-with-us-battle-before-trial\/\">settled in May<\/a> and avoided <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/12\/09\/celebrity-news\/blake-lively-and-justin-baldonis-sexual-harassment-trial-postponed\/\">facing off in front of a judge<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>While neither <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/05\/celebrity-news\/blake-lively-justin-baldoni-got-no-money-in-lawsuit-settlement\/\">earned money<\/a> in the settlement, the legal war raged on as the \u201cGossip Girl\u201d alum attempts to recoup fees.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Baldoni (pictured above in January 2024) until posting an Instagram video with wife Emily Baldoni, with whom he <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/celebrity-news\/justin-baldoni-wife-and-kids\/\">shares two kids<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere have been so many painful things spoken into existence over the last couple years. Untruthful,\u201d the \u201cJane the Virgin\u201d alum said, in part, in last week\u2019s upload. \u201cAnd that created so much noise, and we didn\u2019t want to add to the noise.
