Perimenopause made it worse.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Imbruglia added, \u201cLet\u2019s just say it was a grieving process. I was <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/03\/18\/health\/really-angry-in-your-40s-it-could-be-perimenopause-rage\/\">really angry<\/a>. I fell off a cliff. It felt like someone had taken some of my personality.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Imbruglia is a single mother and\u00a0welcomed son Max Valentine Imbruglia, six, solo via IVF and an anonymous sperm donor back in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>She told the \u201cHow To Fail\u201d podcast earlier this year that the experience was really difficult for her.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s pretty brutal,\u201d\u00a0Imbruglia said. \u201cThe \u2018two-week wait\u2019 before finding out I was <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/06\/08\/health\/what-to-actually-expect-when-youre-expecting-a-trimester-guide\/\">pregnant<\/a> was really tough\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn fact, I remember when I found out I was pregnant, the one thing on my mind was every woman on the planet who was still waiting,\u201d she said. \u201cOh, it makes
