href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/sport\/football\/news\/liverpool-jordon-ibe-arrest-assault-36723871\" rel=\"follow\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_self\">assault outside his former girlfriend Amie Mayson&#8217;s home<\/a> in Lambeth, south London.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Croydon Magistrates\u2019 <a target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/news\/uk-news\/four-teens-charged-12-counts-37417857\" rel=\"follow\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_self\">Court<\/a> heard Ibe and Ms Mayson were arguing on December 14 when Ms Mayson demanded that Ibe repaid her money she claimed he owed her.<\/p>\n<div containing drinks, snacks and flowers, but when Ms Mayson threw muffins on the floor and called Ibe a \u201cdruggy\u201d, he grabbed her by her hair.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Ibe made 41 appearances for Liverpool before spells at AFC Bournemouth, Derby County and Birmingham City.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The court was told that he pulled a braid from Ms Mayson&#8217;s head leaving her with a bald patch, reports the <a target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/news\/liverpool-news\/former-liverpool-fc-player-pulled-34291036\" rel=\"follow\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_self\">Echo.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">A victim statement from February, read to the court on Tuesday, July 14 said that Ms Mayson was deeply affected by the attack, impacting her confidence, self-esteem and self-worth.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">It read: \u201cLooking in the mirror is very distressing for me, the injury is a constant reminder of what happened and often leaves me feeling emotionally drained and upset.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">In March, Ibe denied the charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. However, on Tuesday he changed his plea to guilty.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Ibe donned a black jacket and trousers in the dock and spoke to confirm his personal details.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">He got his postcode wrong and told the court: \u201cSorry, I\u2019m a bit nervous.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">District Judge Polly Gledhill told the court: \u201cWe are in community order territory and I am going to ask for a pre-sentence report.
