I am grateful for the love and encouragement of my family, friends, and fans, and I respectfully ask for privacy as we move forward with grace and compassion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The couple share one daughter, Daisy Rae, who is 4 years old.<\/p>\n<p>The singer spoke to Fox News in 2017, calling her husband \u201cselfless\u201d for his military service.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m just so proud of him,\u201d she said at the time.<\/p>\n<p>The pair met at church in 2012 and later reconnected at a wedding before\u00a0marrying in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Davis is a former financial advisor and an Army veteran.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Country singer RaeLynn announced she filed for divorce from her husband, Joshua Davis. <span class=\"credit\">raelynnofficial\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>The couple poses with their daughter, Daisy, in an undated photo shared on Instagram.  <span class=\"credit\">raelynnofficial\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The \u201cGod Made Girls\u201d singer has written several songs about her husband, including \u201cCamo,\u201d \u201cDiamonds\u201d and \u201cLonely Call.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wrote \u2018Diamonds\u2019 after we got engaged, and the hook of the song is a diamond is just a diamond until you put it on the right left hand,\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/video\/5419149382001\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">she told Fox News in 2017<\/a>, shortly after Davis had returned from basic training.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s one of my favorite songs to sing because I love to honor my husband.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She filed for divorce in Nashville June 8, citing irreconcilable differences, according to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/raelynn-files-for-divorce-husband-josh-davis-10-years-of-marriage-12018928\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">People magazine<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>RaeLynn has shared several photos of her daughter this summer, including one of the two of them dancing to her duet with Rhett Akins, \u201cWe\u2019re American Made.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She and her daughter danced in the video while twinning in patriotic clothing as her daughter clutched a Woody doll from \u201cToy Story.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>The \u201cGod Made Girls\u201d singer has written several songs about her husband, including \u201cCamo,\u201d \u201cDiamonds\u201d and \u201cLonely Call.\u201d <span class=\"credit\">raelynnofficial\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>RaeLynn performs at Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston, Michigan, on July 11, 2026. <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In the video, RaeLynn wore blue cowgirl boots with red stars, and Daisy Rae sported a red checkered jumper, red cowgirl boots and American flag bows in her hair.<\/p>\n<p>In 2016, RaeLynn\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/tasteofcountry.com\/raelynn-marriage-divorce-love-triangle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">told Taste of Country<\/a>\u00a0she wrote her song \u201cLove Triangle\u201d about her parents\u2019 divorce.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnybody that I\u2019ve ever talked to that comes as a child of divorce like me, there\u2019s a part of you that\u2019s scared, but there\u2019s also a part of you that knows that you don\u2019t ever want to repeat those mistakes,\u201d she told the outlet soon after her marriage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will never ever put my kid through that, and I never want to go through that, because I saw how much it hurt my mom and how much it hurt my dad.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI look at marriage in a totally different way. I feel like our generation kind of looks at it as a disposable thing, but it\u2019s not. It\u2019s a commitment.
