I was so madly in love with her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When the \u201cTable Manners\u201d co-hosts dubbed Cruz, 52, \u201cthe sexiest woman alive\u201d during the July 8 episode, Wilde joked, \u201cI was like, \u2018Oh! Hair in the gate. Do [the scene] again!&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Afterward, Wilde was \u201cshocked\u201d and blurted out, \u201cCut. interview about not being able to \u201cpossibly cut away\u201d from her in scenes.<\/p>\n<p>She highlighted \u201cthe way you touch your hair, the way you touch things around you\u201d before adding, \u201cThere are several shots in the movie where the camera just stays on you for the entire scene and I was just like, \u2018Sorry, Seth.\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018She\u2019s too interesting.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wilde, who played Angela, initially disagreed with Cruz\u2019s choice to wear a platinum blonde wig while portraying P\u00edna.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cI just lost control,\u201d she confessed. <span class=\"credit\">Table Manners Podcast<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Wilde called herself \u201cso madly in love\u201d with her co-star. <span class=\"credit\">WireImage<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201c[Cruz] said, \u2018I need it, because I need to depart from myself physically in order to transform personality-wise,\u2019\u201d Wilde <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theaureview.com\/watch\/interview-olivia-wilde-the-invite\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dished to The Au Review<\/a> last week. \u201cThe second she put that wig on, it was a full transformation,\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She credited her co-star with \u201clayering in different elements\u201d into the role \u201clike a lasagna.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The movie features Angela and her husband, Joe, played by Seth Rogen, being propositioned by P\u00edna and Hawk, played by Edward Norton.<\/p>\n<figure Angela.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was so struck [by the idea] because it hadn\u2019t occurred to me,\u201d she said on \u201cTable Manners\u201d earlier this month. \u201cI weirdly had, like, imposter syndrome about acting in it but, for some reason, not about directing it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt this point, I feel like a much better director than actor,\u201d Wilde added. \u201cI was so happy I ended up jumping
