For Kardashian\u2019s Met look, the breastplate was repurposed from that same mold and finished in a glossy orange at an auto body shop.<\/p>\n<p>It was initially meant to be pink, but the pair ultimately went with same gilded hue seen on Moss.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wanted something original \u2014 I didn\u2019t want to cast my own body,\u201d Kardashian <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vogue.com\/article\/kim-kardashian-2026-met-gala\">told Vogue<\/a>. \u201cAllen Jones would be iconic. Sexy. Classic. Cool. London-based leather specialists Patrick Whitaker and Keir Malem of Whitaker Malem constructed an attached leather skirt, which Jones then painted on the sides to go with the breastplate\u2019s orange finish.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was adamant that it be something current and fresh that he had just worked on \u2014 not just a piece from his past,\u201d Kardashian explained.<\/p>\n<p>Kardashian\u2019s creative director, Nadia Lee Cohen, helped shape the final vision, and Christian Louboutin heels completed the look.<\/p>\n<p>Monday\u2019s appearance was Kardashian\u2019s 13th trip up the museum\u2019s famous steps \u2014 a run that has included <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2019\/05\/06\/kim-kardashian-wears-dripping-wet-dress-to-the-2019-met-gala\/\">a \u201cdripping wet\u201d Thierry Mugler mini<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2022\/05\/02\/kim-kardashian-wears-marilyn-monroes-dress-to-met-gala-2022\/\">the borrowed Marilyn Monroe dress<\/a> that sparked a firestorm in 2022.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/05\/style\/kim-kardashians-met-gala-2026-breastplate-has-a-kate-moss-connection\/\" target=\"_blank\">Source link<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kim Kardashian has viral Met Monday looks down to a fine art.
