Collin\u2019s casting arrives shortly after he announced his plans to release a bombshell memoir, titled \u201cIn the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood,\u201d about his life growing up in the public eye alongside his seven siblings<\/a> \u2014 Aaden, Joel, Alexis, Hannah and Leah, and twins Cara and Madelyn.<\/p>\nAccording to a description of the book, Collin promises to deliver the \u201cnever-before-told story of how [Collin] escaped and found his way back from the dark.\u201d<\/p>\n
His memoir will recount him \u201cbeing held down, the basement cell where he was hidden for years and the cocktail of powerful antipsychotics forced on an 11-year-old boy.\u201d<\/p>\nCollin has made several negative comments toward his mother (seen above) over the years, and has even accused her of \u201cchild abuse and child exploitation.\u201d<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nKate has responded to some of Collin\u2019s claims against her, calling him \u201cmentally ill\u201d as pictured here. TikTok<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nIt\u2019s no secret that Collin has had a years-long tumultuous relationship with his mother. The young business owner has even previously\u00a0 accused Kate of \u201cchild abuse and child exploitation,\u201d<\/a>\u00a0which she\u2019s denied. <\/p>\nIn September 2024, Kate\u2019s lawyer told the US Sun that he\u00a0didn\u2019t believe Kate had done anything to \u201cintentionally harm\u201d<\/a>\u00a0Collin, and that she \u201cdid what she did to protect herself and her family\u201d from her son\u2019s \u201ctroubled behavior.\u201d<\/p>\nCollin hasn\u2019t shied away from publicly throwing jabs at his mom<\/a>\u00a0online ahead of the release of his book. However, last month Kate hit back at her son\u2019s claims,\u00a0 calling him \u201cmentally ill.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
