But we hear it all came together in the 11th hour when the party vet managed to snag fashion icon Kate Moss as host, relocating the bash \u2014 dubbed \u201cThe Afters\u201d \u2014 to downtown burlesque hotspot The Box.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Insiders say the entire soir\u00e9e came together in just a day, with one source telling us Moss and Akiva are friends who had been casually chatting when the idea came up. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Akiva pal Kate Moss stepped up as host at the last minute. <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>The party took place at downtown spot The Box. <span class=\"credit\">Matt Borkowski\/BFA.com\/Shutterstock<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Moss, 52, didn\u2019t just lend her name, she also brought daughter Lila, 23, along for the night, which didn\u2019t really heat up until around 4 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNext year I am definitely\u00a0going to prepare\u00a0in a much longer time and lock everything in officially way earlier,\u201d Akiva told us. \u201cAnd I am going to do something invitation only.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Adding, \u201cI was super grateful\u00a0and happy. I love Kate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Elie Tahari stepped in as sponsor.<\/p>\n<p>This is Akiva\u2019s 12th Met Gala after party.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Diplo played for the crowd.  <span class=\"credit\">BFA.com \/ BACKGRID<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>We hear there was some flirting between the famed DJ and the burlesque dancers. <span class=\"credit\">Matt Borkowski\/BFA.com\/Shutterstock<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Teyana Taylor was also a host of the bash. She had been on board\u00a0since the initial planning stages.<\/p>\n<p>Despite being announced late, the party still drew a stacked crowd, including Blackpink\u2019s Lisa and Jennie and editor Edward Enninful. <\/p>\n<p>Diplo hit the decks for a packed room that included Ty Dolla $ign, Evan Ross, Selah Marley, and Stefon Diggs. At one point, we\u2019re told barely clad burlesque dancers had to be moved aside so guests could actually see the famed DJ.<\/p>\n<p>One insider tells us Diplo was \u201cflirting\u201d with the dancers, while another insists, \u201cthe burlesque girls were flirting with him.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Busta Rhymes got on the mich for an impromptu performance.  <span class=\"credit\">BFA.com \/ BACKGRID<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Kaytranada also played. <span class=\"credit\">BFA.com \/ BACKGRID<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>DJ Kaytranada also spun, while Busta Rhymes grabbed the mic for an impromptu performance. Singer Leon Thomas performed as well.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe party went amazing,\u201d Akiva said.<\/p>\n<p>Madonna\u2019s rep told us, \u201cShe was never confirmed for any party.\u201d Carpenter\u2019s camp didn\u2019t get back to us.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Akiva tells us he is going to plan much farther ahed next year. <span class=\"credit\">BFA.com \/ BACKGRID<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Carpenter and Madonna, who just released the duet \u201cBring Your Love\u201d from Madge\u2019s upcoming \u201cConfessions II\u201d album, wound up\u00a0hosting their own party at Zero Bond, which is owned by Akiva\u2019s former Butter Group business partner Scott Sartiano.<\/p>\n<p>The pair had a falling out and have not spoken in years we\u2019re told.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/05\/society\/richie-akiva-pulls-together-met-gala-party-with-kate-moss\/\" target=\"_blank\">Source link<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>He pulled it off!
