Katie Price has been left reeling over her marriage to Lee Andrews after her son, Junior Andre, asked her an important question about her new life after their shotgun wedding
Katie Price has been left fuming after being grilled her over her shotgun wedding and moving to Dubai. The former glamour model shocked her friends and family when it emerged she was engaged earlier this year.
Price, 47, flew out to Dubai and became engaged to a man she had met on Instagram several days prior, without consulting her family. But two days later, she and Lee Andrews tied the knot before having a legal ceremony several days later.
Questions have been raised about Andrews, who describes himself as a millionaire and claims to have worked for the Labour Party and The King’s Trust (formerly The Prince’s Trust) .The Mirror revealed that neither organisation had ever heard of Andrews.
During the latest episode of her podcast, The Katie Price Show, Katie revealed that her son Junior, 20, has now joined her fans in asking why she got married so quickly. Katie simply revealed that, like the TV show, love is blind.
“I was talking today to junior and he said mum, ‘why did you get married so quick?”, said Katie. “I said junior there’s a show called Love is Blind where they get to know each other but don’t know what they look like and marry them. No one moans about that concept. They know nothing about the other person. But I actually got to know Lee, I saw him face to face on the screen. I marry him and it’s uproar. It’s alright for programmes to do it.”
‘I’ve never watched it I don’t know,” her sister Sophie flatly replied.
Katie also furiously corrected rumours she is moving to Dubai with Lee. “I’ve got five children, I’m not going to just get up an d move to Dubai,” insisted the mum. “I want to get to know Lee more before anything. There’s no rush. I don’t know why people are so invested. It’s nobodies business. I live in West Sussex and that is it.
Her sister told her, “I think it’s because you made it public you are both buying a house there together.”
Katie hit back: “It’s true but it doesn’t mean to say I’m there all the time.”
It comes after Lee has made yet another bold claim, insisting that he is putting in a bid to purchase Chelsea Football Club. However, the club is owned by a consortium BlueCo, which is led by American businessman Todd Boehly. The purchase went through back in 2022 for a whopping £4.25 billion – but Lee thinks change is due.
“There’s a bit of a verification process, and I’ll only obtain 55 per cent, obviously, for quite a large amount. I can’t tell you all the workings and inner parts to my wealth but definitely the money is there. And they have to accept, and they have to verify, but it will be going in. It sounds crazy, it sounds ambitious, but watch this space,” he told The Sun.
However, there is nothing to suggest that Lee will actually be purchasing the Blues, who are due to take on Manchester City this weekend. Currently, the Blues are number six in the Premier League.
