Police have arrested an alleged accomplice who reportedly helped a Turkish Cypriot father snatch his two-year-old son from his British mother’s home in Limassol, Cyprus

The alleged accomplice of a Turkish Cypriot man said to have kidnapped his British toddler son in Cyprus has been arrested.
Local police said the 29-year-old father snatched two-year-old from his British mother’s home in the holiday hotspot of Limassol after storming the property with another man. The pair then allegedly fled the scene in a small white car.
Officers have now arrested a 53-year-old Turkish Cypriot man in connection with the kidnapping, saying the man appears to have collaborated with the child’s father – who remains wanted by police.
Limassol Deputy Police Chief, Lefteris Kyriakou, said the getaway vehicle, which was later searched by police, was located within the British Bases.
Kyriakou said officers believe the father, who was already subject to an an arrest warrant for domestic violence – illegally crossed into Cyprus from an uncontrolled point on island’s northern Turkish-occupied territories.
