She was catching her breath — but she’s back.
Kelly Clarkson recently announced her plans to release a new single, her first since “Where Have You Been” came out in May 2025.
“New Single? 👀 #IdBeLyin,” the Grammy winner told her Instagram followers on July 2. “Pre-save link in bio! #July17.”
The single’s premiere date coincides with Clarkson’s Las Vegas residency, which kicks off on July 17 and ends mid-August.
Clarkson’s fans celebrated the new music reveal in the comments section, with one gushing, “Finally!”
Another quipped, “I’d be lyin’ if I said I wasn’t obsessed with this song already,” while a third declared they were “ready to listen on repeat.”
The career update comes as Clarkson prepares to end her eponymous talk show after seven seasons on air.
She noted, however that prioritizing her children — daughter River, 12, and son Remington, 10, felt “necessary and right for this next chapter of [their] lives.”
The little ones, notably, lost their dad, Brandon Blackstock, to cancer in August 2025.
As for the “American Idol” alum’s next steps, she wrote, “I’ll still be making music, playing shows here and there and you may catch me on ‘The Voice’ from time to time … you never know where I might show up next.”
Sure enough, the former “Voice” coach announced in May that she will return to the competition series for Season 30.
The source explained, “She still wants to make music and perform, and she’s open to popping up on projects she enjoys, but nothing that requires an ongoing daily grind.”
Clarkson’s most recent record came out in 2024 when she released an extended version of her holiday album called “When Christmas Comes Around … Again.”
The year before that, “Chemistry,” her 10th studio album, hit shelves.
