Three pedestrians have been hurt after two cars collided and one ploughed through the side of MFA Bowl in Ilkeston

Three pedestrians have been injured after a car careered off a road and ploughed into a bowling alley following a collision.

The incident happened in Derby Road, Ilkeston, at the junction of Oakwell Drive.

Police were called after the vehicle smashed through the side of MFA Bowl just before 5pm, on Friday (June 12).

In an update, Derbyshire police said they have now charged Callum Thompson, of Ilkeston, with criminal damage, recklessly endangering life, failing to provide a specimen for analysis, assault and causing serious injury by dangerous driving after the collision.

The 21-year-old has been remanded in custody and will appear at Derby Magistrates ‘ Court on Monday, June 15.
