Disgraced ex-Prince Andrew was approached by a masked man at his home on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk. The suspect was arrested shortly afterwards

A ‘balaclava-clad’ man has been arrested after allegedly threatening Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor close to his new home on the King’s Sandringham estate in Norfolk.

The suspect is understood to have approached the former prince while he was out walking his dogs last night at around 7:30pm.

The man is said to have jumped out of a vehicle shouting , prompting the former Duke of York and a member of his private security team to rush to their car, which was also nearby.

Mountbatten-Windsor lost his rights to state-funded police protection in early 2022, when he was stripped of his royal title, His Royal Highness HRH.

The suspect is then understood to have sprinted after them as they sped off down a lane just outside the Sandringham Royal Parkland.

Police were called and the man was arrested at the scene and taken away for questioning.

The incident is not being treated as terror related, a source said.
