Britney Spears drove “erratically” and and almost “side swiped” multiple vehicles before she was arrested and charged with driving under the influence on March 4.
The caller described their location, adding the BMW could be seen swerving “in and out of lanes” and “erratically slamming on the breaks.”
The driver — who asked to remain anonymous — added, “It almost side swiped a couple of vehicles. It’s driving at high speeds. I’m worried they’re going to crash with somebody.”
A second caller told a dispatcher for California Highway Patrol, “Possible drunk driver. It is a black BMW. They’re randomly breaking in and out of the lanes.”
The driver added, “Almost side swiped three or four vehicles. I am loosely trailing them.”
Spears was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
The singer checked herself into rehab on April 12 for substance abuse following the arrest.
“She’s dedicated to working on her health,” the source continued. “This is something she really wants to do for herself. This was her own decision.”
Spears’ attorney appeared in Ventura County Superior Court on May 4 on behalf of the songstress.
The attorney accepted a “wet reckless” offer, which is a reduced charge involving reckless driving with alcohol or drugs. This is used in cases involving first-time offenders, low blood alcohol levels and no crash or injuries.
Spears received one year informal probationary grant and will have to attend and complete a three month alcohol school (30 hours).

But Sneider claimed one woman said of Spears, “She had a knife and came toward me. I thought she was going to stab me.”
“At no point did she put anyone in danger with a knife. She was cutting her hamburger in half.”
