Bikini-loving Brooks Nader has turned over a new leaf.
As for her favorite brands? “I love Tropic of C,” Nader said.
True to her word, the 29-year-old style star modeled two different maillots while walking in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show Saturday night: a black suit with a racy thong back and a belted, “Baywatch”-coded red one-piece.
Along with pivoting from string bikinis to more full-coverage swim styles in her everyday life, Nader’s been drawing inspiration from the franchise’s iconic scarlet swimsuit in other ways, too — though she often winds up showing more skin than she’d intended.
Ahead of her catwalk moment in Miami, Nader went for a dip in the ocean on Friday wearing a red minidress, only to have her strap snap mid-swim.
“My family group chat was blowing up about our moment in the ocean yesterday because my top broke,” she told us.
“And they’re like, ‘Why are you always suffering from a wardrobe malfunction? You’re always suffering.’ And I was like, ‘Cause why not?’”
Indeed, just last month, Nader experienced a similar style snafu at the Fox Upfronts while promoting “Baywatch” in another little red dress.
“So we’re on our way, we’re pulling up [to the event], I’m so excited,” she recalled. “And I literally had just had a huge meal. And I was breathing, God forbid. And my entire dress popped open as we’re getting out of the car. It was terrible.”
Fortunately, an “angel on Earth from Fox” helped sew Nader into the ripped mini moments before she hit the red carpet.
“When I got home later that night, I had to have my neighbor cut me out with scissors,” the Sports Illustrated cover girl admitted.
