Shia LaBeouf pleaded guilty to simple battery following his February arrest during Mardi Gras in New Orleans.

He has been sentenced to a six-month suspended sentence and two years of active probation. As part of the conditions, he must also complete anger management and sensitivity training. The case has been closed.

The troubled actor pleaded guilty in court on Wednesday to simple battery in connection with an altercation at a Marigny bar during Mardi Gras earlier this year. Ron Asadorian

“There is no evidence it was about bias or prejudice, which is why the state only charged these low level misdemeanors,” the statement continued. “Mr. LaBeouf came to court today wanting to take accountability for his part in what happened, and he has done so. Now he’s looking forward to focusing on family, work, and new creative projects.”

After partying for several days straight to celebrate Mardi Gras, LaBeouf was arrested in the predawn hours of Feb. 17.

The “Transformers” star — who has struggled with alcoholism and anger issues in the past — was asked to leave a bar in the French Quarter after allegedly getting too rowdy.

Various staffers and patrons described him as “inebriated” and “somewhat belligerent.” As soon as he got outside, LaBeouf allegedly began punching the employee who had escorted him out.

The “Honey Boy” star eventually left, but came back with an alleged vengeance that required the restraint of multiple people.

When the people let up, cops said LaBeouf went after the employee he had been punching earlier, allegedly striking them in the chest and punching another person in the nose.

He was once again restrained until police arrived on the scene close to 1 a.m.

A video of the shirtless actor getting pummeled by a group of men while he sat on the street was obtained by TMZ, though it’s unclear when in the night the altercation took place.

LaBeouf was seen in another video getting loaded up into an ambulance and taken to a hospital to be treated for unknown injuries. After his release, he was arrested and then booked at Orleans Parish Prison around 4:15 a.m.

The actor had allegedly been on an extended-weekend bar crawl for several days, with various staffers and patrons describing him as “inebriated” and “somewhat belligerent.”

LaBeouf even allegedly used the “Do you know who I am?” line before trying to “be a celebrity bartender.”

As one eyewitness put it, he had been “terrorizing the city.”
