Gabrielle Carrington, 29, is alleged to have fatally run over influencer Klaudia Zakrzewska, 32, outside the Inca nightclub in London’s Soho district – a man was also left with serious injuries
An X Factor finalist who is accused of killing an influencer outside a busy London nightspot is being held in the same “cushy” prison as Lucy Letby and Contsance Marten.
Gabrielle Carrington, 29, is alleged to have run over Klaudia Zakrzewska, 32, outside a nightclub in Soho and is under “constant watch” with officers keeping checks on her and other prisoners for their safety from other inmates. Influencer Carrington is being held on the induction wing at HMP Bronzefield, in Surrey, where inmates can take part in beauty courses as well as opera workshops.
The 2013 X Factor finalist has been held in custody and will appear in court again. She is classed as a “standard” inmate at the 530 prisoner jail and has access to gyms, phone calls as well as a TV and DVD player.
“She is very lucky to have been put in Bronzefield as it is pretty cushy compared to other prisons and inmates there are better protected,” a source told The Sun. “There are loads of activities laid on for them and women’s prisons are better-resourced than male prisons.
“Carrington is on induction but is set to go into Unit 4, where Letby, Constance and others are held after her next appearance. That is for her own protection and is a unit with more vulnerable women in there. It is often used as a place of safety for high-profile inmates.
“Carrington would be a target on other units or at other prisons but will be with women who are far less likely to attack her. There will be a lot of jealous towards her because of her fame, wealth, looks and social media profile.
“She has been a model prisoner since arriving, and has caused no problems for the staff. She has kept her head down and engaged with staff – and definitely hasn’t acted like a diva.”
Carrington originally appeared in court with attempted murder, GBH with intent, ABH and drink-driving after allegedly running over Klaudia outside the Inca nightclub at about 4:30am on Sunday, April 19 The charge was upgraded to murder after Klaudia – who goes by Klaudia Glam – died six days later.
A 58-year-old man was suffered serious injuries in the same incident. A spokesperson for Sodexo, the private company that runs Bronzefield, told The Sun: “We cannot comment on individuals.
Other inmates at the prison include Constance Marten, who disappeared with her partner Mark Gordon in January, 2023. They vanished around the same time as the birth of their daughter, which sparked a widespread police search. Their daughter’s body was later discovered in a shopping bag left in an allotment shed. Following two trials, the pair were convicted of causing her death via gross negligence.
