Good Morning Britain’s Kate Garraway and Ranvir Singh were on hand to bring ITV viewers the latest headlines on Friday morning.
Good Morning Britain fans were less than impressed.
During Friday’s instalment of the ITV show, viewers saw Kate Garraway and Ranvir Singh discuss the latest headlines with Salma Shah and Caroline Flint.
As the women gave updates on topics such as the assisted dying bill and Prince Harry’s remarks to the U.S. on the war, people weren’t impressed by their hosting style, as they spoke over one another loudly throughout the conversation.
Taking to social media, one person said: “Jeez, what has happened to GMB! It’s like a cheap rip-off of Loose Women.” Another commented: “All this cackling is too much this early in the morning.”
Someone else shared: “Thought I was watching Loose Women this morning. Ranvir needs to calm down.” As another person wrote: “This is more like Loose Women #gmb.”
Although some people were thrilled to see Kate and Ranvir hosting together over the past few Fridays.
One person recently said, “I like you two as a team on Fridays – great chemistry!” As another wrote: “Always glam, love you & Kate on a Friday.”
During the programme, Ranvir recalled an awkward moment she recently had at a supermarket, as the duo discussed shoplifting at self-service check-outs.
She said: “I was in a big supermarket, one of the Express ones, as always happens with me, I don’t know if it happens to you, if you dare to pack your own bag, that’s a devastating choice.
“You can chalk off the next 15 minutes, it’s not going to work, so I tried to pack my own bag. I’ve put it on, clicked the thing, and the red light goes off, and nobody appears.
“Eventually, I went, ‘Oh, could you just-‘. She comes over, finally sorted, and she goes, ‘Love your quiz by the way, I love Riddiculous’.
“I went,’ Oh, thank you so much, that’s so nice, I just packed my bag, and I walked out. I had not paid for £46 worth of shopping. I walked straight out! I got around the corner, and my spidey instincts were going something’s not right here.
“Nobody came after me. I walked straight back in and went, ‘Sorry, I haven’t paid. I tapped the thing, and I thought oh my god, that’s how it happens, I was so distracted.”
The panel laughed off Ranvir’s blunder as she confirmed she had gone back into the supermarket and paid for the items she had accidentally walked out with.
Good Morning Britain is available to watch weekdays on ITV from 6am.
