Most of us have visited a McDonald’s in our time, however one foodie has now shared his experience of visiting the world’s biggest McDonald’s. Up until this year, the Orlando location in the US, often called Epic McD, was known as the biggest McDonald’s in the world. However, back in February, the McDonald’s at Disneyland Paris became the largest in the world after it reopened.

The 2,000-square-metre flagship restaurant in Disney Village, which can seat 600 guests over three floors, cost an eye-whopping €20 million (£17 million). The restaurant is designed as an “ultramodern” flagship that blends Disney Village magic with high-tech service.

Notable features include a three-story indoor play area for children, a panoramic glass elevator, and even a curly slide for moving between floors.

The site uses 23 self-service kiosks, a dual kitchen system, and five dumbwaiters to manage high guest volume.

The building features 250 square metres of solar panels, a 120-square-metre living wall, and green roof spaces to promote biodiversity.

Visitors can also enjoy a unique menu, with items such as the Croque McDo (exclusive to France) and pistachio-sauce-topped sundaes.

Sharing his experience of the restaurant, Benji – known as @benji_esca on Instagram – was seen visiting the McDonald’s in the evening.

He described it as “absolutely massive” but noticed that the food was quite pricey. He ended up ordering a McDonald’s CBO (Chicken, Bacon, Onion) as he said he “couldn’t afford anything else” and described it as “not bad”.

Benji also claimed he had to “queue for 1-hour” to get his order.

According to Tripadvisor, Benji isn’t alone in his experience of a long wait.

Reviews often cite extreme wait times (30–60+ minutes) despite its modern renovation. While it is one of the most budget-friendly options at Disneyland Paris, frequent complaints focus on cold food and disorganised service.

McDonald’s has been contacted for comment.

Previously, the Orlando location in the US, known as Epic McD, took the crown for the largest McDonald’s in the world.

The 19,000-square-foot, three-story facility also features unique menu items, like woodfire-baked customisable pizzas, customisable pasta bowls (like tortellini or linguini with Alfredo), Philly cheesesteaks, omelettes, and Belgian waffles.

It also includes a 100+ game arcade where players earn tickets on a “McFun” card for prizes, and a 22-foot tall PlayPlace.

The building is recognisable by a 30-foot tall illuminated Ronald McDonald at the entrance and includes a bakery case with whole cakes, ice cream bars, and a fish tank.

Guests are encouraged to use touch-screen kiosks and receive table service via trackers, allowing them to sit while their food is prepared in the open kitchen.
